π£ 10. Mushroom Rock – Unique woodland rock formation near Chattanooga. Avoid private property trails and opt for the 3.6-mile out-and-back hike off Suck Creek Road, offering breathtaking views and a bit of elevation gain.
ποΈ 9. Laurel-Snow Trail – Explore the pocket wilderness areas of Dayton, Tennessee, with two waterfalls, scenic overlooks, and a refreshing creek for swimming. This trail also offers a challenging 13-mile hike if you’re feeling adventurous.
π 8. Laurel Falls (CNF) – Located in the Pond Mountain Wilderness near Johnson City, this 4.6-mile hike features a trail alongside the serene Laurel Fork, offering picturesque creek views and a captivating 40-foot waterfall at the trail’s end.
π¦ 7. Ramsey Cascades – Witness one of the most stunning waterfalls in the United States. This 8-mile hike in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park boasts a 100-foot-tall waterfall and an unforgettable final approach.
πͺ¨ 6. Windows Cliffs – Hidden gem near Cookeville, Tennessee, featuring natural limestone bridges with erosion-created windows. Prepare for an adventurous 5.3-mile hike with 18 creek crossings and a stunning 20-foot waterfall.

π₯ 4. Fiery Gizzard – Considered one of the top 25 hiking trails in the United States, this South Cumberland trail offers a 12.5-mile adventure with over 1700 feet of elevation gain. You might even spot an armadillo!
π 3. Stone Door Loop Savage Gulf – Explore the newly made state park with over 50 miles of hiking trails. We recommend backpacking the Stone Door Loop for an adventure of a lifetime.
π 2. Twin Arches – Venture into Big South Fork, home to the largest sandstone arches in Tennessee. Experience epic rock facings and a modest elevation gain on this 5-mile trail.
β°οΈ 1. Mt. LeConte – The most iconic trail in Tennessee and the Great Smoky Mountains. Hike over 11 miles with 3000 feet of elevation gain via the Alum Cave Trail and soak in the best views Tennessee has to offer.

Great video and thanks for highlighting my state! For hikers and backpackers coming to Tennessee, I would also recommend the trails in Frozen Head State Park near Wartburg TN.
Most of those are packed with tourists.
Nice choice of Twin Arches Loop in Big South Fork. Itβs my favorite too. I would have had to mention Charit Creek Lodge though. Itβs a little piece of heaven nestled in a gorgeous little valley.
Not complaining about your choices though!
