But don’t you guys smell bad? Like no deodorant, no soap, hours of hiking and no shower for a week 😢 not washing your hair for a month is insane to me.
Natural deodorant and soaps don’t add much weight or space in my opinion.
I hiked for 4 days here in Brasil and used a bottle of water and some coconut soap so I could take a quick, small but nice shower and was ready to continue the hike. It’s funny to see how different we hike and prepare ourselves from country to country 😊 the important thing is to hike!
And shaving?
They make unscented soap 👀 🤣🤣🤣

It would make sense for somebody new to camping to have a little more wiggle room say 1 extra outfit, plus 1 extra sock/underwear. When I first started I thought I would need 5 shirts🤣. Clothes are heavy!

Ahhh trying so hard not to be “that person” but I do really recommend carrying a small dr. Bronners specifically for after going number 2. It’s so concentrated so I only need what fits in an eye dropper bottle. Hand sanitizer doesn’t kill poo germs, like norovirus. It spreads like crazy on the AT. A lot of people don’t know that so totally understandable!

I think I could do most of this, but I like native lavender deodorant. I also would want an ethique bar to wash my clothes in a dry bag. There is water everywhere where I live, so lots of bathing and washing of self opportunities.

Renne your blessed! If i didnt brush my hair for a month, id have to shave my head. There would be no other way to deal with it! I didnt brush mine for 2 days when I had emergency surgery and went to ICU, thank god for my husbands awareness of my difficult hair. Hes helped me out of some bad hair situations in the past. He managed to stand behind the bed and brush my hair while I lay there, took him over 2 hours. But he saved my hair 😂
I don’t use sunscreen because of the chemicals. I use a ball cap with removable face and neck screen like the Korean hikers.
How do you take care of the cleanliness with menstural cup? It can be quite messy 🤔 (I’m a cup user, been over 10 years. I always get my fingers dirty and still gotta wash my meow.
