The Best 3-Day Road Trip Itinerary Through California Redwood National Park
The Best 3-Day Road Trip Itinerary Through California Redwood National Park
On one of our road trips to Oregon a few years back, we made a quick stop at the Redwood National & State Parks in California. This place was so beautiful that we wanted to come back and spend more time here. Since it is quite large (over 38,982 acres), the trip planning was a bit tricky, especially because we only had 3 days to see everything. After tons of research, we came up with the best road trip itinerary that would allow us to experience most of what these parks have to offer. This weekend-sized itinerary features lush green forests, giant redwoods, breathtaking coastal trails as well as beautiful hidden beaches. Redwood National and State Parks is absolutely worth visiting!

Is it possible to a normal person send a petition to the state of California to live in the redwood national park? Do you know if theres a way or something like that
I want to thank you for creating this 3-day guide. It was a perfect foundation for planning a family trip in a location we had not previously explored. Your tips were great and especially appreciate the info on the permit for Tall Trees Grove. We enjoyed our hikes last week and are grateful to you!
Hey!that’s aweosme .
We are going in 2 week, thank you for the video
Agree with you ๐ Prairie Creek is the perfect place โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ
I grew up there
what is the name of the campground you stayed at? itโs beautiful!
What month did u go
Can you provide information on where you camped for this trip?
May we ask what time of year you went? Where you stayed and how you got food and stuff.
Wow what campsite was that!? Do most of them look that secluded?
Needed this video! Think I just got inspired to do the same three days! Thank you!
Great content! Efficient use of three days.
This looks amazing! Iโm planning on going in May. Did you have any contact with wild animals (bears, elk)?
I’ve been wanting to go here for the first time. Thanks for the suggestion
It is $12.00 now fyi. and cash and or check only I believe. You have to reserve a permit but reserving the permit for the time is free. You pay when you get there.
Thank you for the video. The website indicates a Backcountry permit is required for overnight stays at the campsite. I’m having trouble finding the permit application and booking options for the campsite. Could you share links to book both?
Awesome video, it looks amazing
Great content as usual. Really enjoyed all your videos. I would appreciate if you can include some details about road conditions, whether roads are drivable via 2 wheels drive.
To accomplish this trip, where do you recommend staying? Any particular city that makes these all an easy driving distance?
Could u please give us the list of places u visited, in your description ?
Lots of great views.
