uhhhhhhhh…..
That garmin watch looks nice🤩🤩🤩 been eyeing the instinct 2 solar, but wow the price on that bad boy is little steep for my wallet! Yes, i know her watch is more money, thats wayyyy out of my budget!
Thank you so much for this. Wonderful informative video and so positive and inspiring. Please do one with more emphasis on nutrition for hikers .
This gives me more confidence in reaching my hiking goals. Thank you.
Good advice. I walk a lot but need more training.
In my opinion the best training you can do is to actually get out there to a mountain and hike, but yes, look for the distance and elevation gain so that you know how hard it will be, bring trekking poles for balance, the essentials, as well as a map to follow the trail. You can start slow and keep on adding distance and elevation, there is no rush, just have a motive and go after it.
I LOVE this!!!!! ❤
Pro tip from a yogi: the hamstring stretch with trekking poles is a version of down dog. I teach it against a wall in accessible yoga classes. If we lengthen from shoulders to hips and expand through the chest here, it will likely feel AMAZING to our pecs, front delts, and lower back too😊
Great video❤🙏🙏🙏
LOVE this! Sam did such a great job! More Sam and Moose please!

Commenting to ensure REI knows that this sedentary hiking newb is very motivated by this woman. If she can do it-I can do it too. Thank you for educating me today 🙏
I love this, and her demos are great! I want to see her more!
Yay for some body diversity!!
Please continue making these videos. Let’s get rid of the stereotype that higher weight people can’t, or don’t deserve to be active, while wearing comfortable, fashionable clothing. You’re an inspiration!
Love Sam’s advice and always love when Moose joins in.
I do, too!
Great video, I hope we see more of this host!
HI SAM LOVE YOU SAM! 😍💜👏🏻
Thank you so much for doing this for plus size women because we like nature and hiking too. This is very helpful. I feel heard, like we exist. Much appreciated you did this. I will book mark this video and come back to it for tips and encouragement. 😊
Really appreciate this! Thank you 😊
Fantastic video! More Sam Ortiz, please!
Way to go, Sam! Love this! Also mention that all of this stretching shouldn’t be done with cold muscles. One should walk for about 10-15 minutes, first, then do your stretches after that, when your muscles are warmed up a bit. Also, stretching when you are done hiking, is very important, too! Great video!!
Great advice. I needed this video when I was getting ready to hike in Utah.
