So I know this is an old video but down in Florida we got these things called alligators so you tell me if that deer will spend much time in that marsh…
I think you’re show’s are great ,they remind me how hunting was for me when I was young. I still think bow hunting is the best way to take a deer. I live in Michigan and always a challenge to take a decent buck. This year I’ve passed a couple of nice bucks because I’ve seen better on the trail cameras. I would like to meet you guys if you’re still in Michigan . I know great public land spots. Love your shoe.
yep totally
Thanks for this helps a lot
How would you do this for a bear hunt?
Great video!!
Awesome video. I’m hunting here in VA so most of this really pertains to my hunting strategy. Thanks π
What mapping software are you using?
I learned so much from this video, such as deer having access to GIS software and knowing where property lines are.
So with the first instance with a buck bedding on a ridge where should I be placed down in the bottom or off to either side of the ridge on a passing trail on either side of the bed?
"There’s a white tail animal!!" He cracks me up π€£π€£π€£
Hey guys i hear you refer to "CRP" pretty often. What does that stand for?
Do you guys ever take a look at someone’s map for them to critique what they’ve done? I would love it if i could send you my scouting map and you could verify if I’m understanding correctly
Question on the topi view how many feet elevation between lines? Realize this not a real recent video. Thanks
great content!
in between the two branches of the stream, I see a high spot indicated by some trees where I assume there is marsh land tall thick stuff. there is a break in the water there in direct line with the hay fields. What is your opinion of looking for buck sign leading out of that low land headed toward the night time feed?

HoΜ£w do u change to fall view
This series has been phenomenal! Love your work guys. I moved to a new state this year and want to use these principles to help me find new spots in my new home state of PA. Nice work.
Informative and realistic. I don’t know for sure of this location. But I think you just shot a nice buck there at the end of October (9 months) after the release of this video.
How does the map in work when you’re in like swampy areas the area I’m wanting to hunt is a river bottom / sunken land really want to know how you do raid the mapping in the swiper areas y’all are talking a lot about ridges on the flat land
Great videoΒ and awesome work. Thanks for all the info you guys share with us, it means a lot.
So I’m having a hard time doing this. If I sent you the topo of a 67acher parasol I hunt could you help me learn how to read my area
This is south of the state I live in Iowa I believe
That first area of buck bedding you found instead of finding the bucks bed wouldn’t the easiest and best way not to bump him out of his bed would be just to find the trail he uses to get up that ridge to his bed and set up on that
Here in southern Louisiana when you turn on the topography nothing happens, we just live in a flat swamp. Not sure how to scout what looks like nothing but thick tree cover with no hills or valleys.
Awesome video
You guys are mentioning using a kayak to get in. If you get a deer how do you load It onto the kayak?
Here’s what might be a dumb question. Let’s say you kayak across to that spot at the end of the video and shoot a booner. How do you get him out of there? Do you strap him to your kayak and hope to not tip over while paddling back? Or is the plan to drag him over the hilltop back to that access road?
Thank you so much for these teachings.I’m sure you hear this all the time but it’s really changed the way that I hunt now I’ve been hunting for a long time and I long to be successful and now I feel I have a chance again I’m 63 years old and I’m out into the woods as often as I can ; 3 or 4 times a week. There was a moment in your hunting history where it all came together, where it crystallized, can you please tell me what did for you to put it all together, that one moment where you said" I got this"
Someone buy these guys a beer.
When your watching a 4 year old scouting video and you start to realize your 4 years behind THP on stand Locations & all your summer scouting was just checking in for them. Lol π€¦ββοΈπ
Thank you for doing what you do. I’m a public land hunter and I’ve learned so much from you guys. Keep up the good work.
Definitely a young man’s game…canoes kayaks etc…better be a booner at the end of this effort!…hats off to you guys!
I’m going on a 5 day crossbow hunt next week. Will you give some advice. Gonna be at dale hallow state park in ky, I don’t have on x and don’t know how to read a topo map
What is CRP?
Tremendous information, presentation with sharing screen and overall helpful video. You guys rock at putting this together.
Great videos. Quick question. If bucks normally are bedding on a side hill bench facing a east creek bottom on a westerly wind. Would they still bed there with a north or south wind? Thanks again.
Hey. I just attempted to use THP discount code and onx said it was invalid. Did it expire already?!?
How did you determine those "Area with likely hunting pressure"?
This is a great video. I struggle to determine which bends are high and which are low. I spend more time trying to figure that out than anything
Great info.. But still feels overwhelming for a newbie… have you guys ever considered accessing requested public land and giving a couple of suggested areas to really look at. I purchased onX with your discount code. Thanks btw. I’m sure you guys kill it now your podcast and youtube have taken off but I would pay $ for your experience and suggestions just giving me 4 or 5 key places to hone in on in my general area and possible suggestions on accessing those points.
These videos have completely changed the way I hunt and scout.
You guys in Alabama?
I love yalls hunting videos but these videos like this are much needed. As i can see from the comments, yall are helping a lot of people, including me. Its also helping me to use the onx map and more understand what im looking at. Great info. Stay safe everybody
I love you guys and this channel so much. You donβt happen to have a discord or IG where you help people evaluate land do you? Iβd love to watch you go through a piece of property I hunt on onx with me so I can learn for myself.
Do you guys have any tips for escouting eastern turkeys?
You seriously just marked my tree at 6:15. Im not joking!!!! It’s a good walk in and out, lots of racoon at night on the way out, they like to follow close behind. You’re wrong on the wind also. If it’s blowing from the northwest it will blow out on the northwest because it blows over the ridges and comes back up the ravine your in. The thing is to get in around 3:30-4am and wait until they come back from their nightly feeding from the East. That way your scent will be dissipated by 6-ish. Been there done that.
Thank you for making all these awesome videos. I’m in Iowa and just starting to get into hunting. your videos have been helping me a lot.
Why not the oxbow a little north of your spots?
