MUST SEE! New Foldable Camping Tent From THULE – OutSet Hitch Camp #camping #camper #outdoorlife

This is a remix video. Thanks @fourgonlesite for the video.

THULE presents the first tent in the market mounted on a hitch ball. The upside to a rooftop tent? When camping, no need to fold down the tent before you can use your vehicle! Just roll it out. The THULE “Outset” will be available to order in Spring 2024.
The tent was announced in Germany and sells for approximately $4,300 USD. It weighs around 154 lbs.

At that price I’ll just stick to an $80 tent

NJ outdoor adventures & thule literally have 💩4 brains

Great, and then in the middle off the night i get robbed or worse. Yeah….Awesome. Maybe is safe Denmark or Japan. U.S. though, this thing becomes your coffin.

I love the concept, love it’s off the ground and when mobile it’s not taking up extra space. However 2 problems. 1) your tags are on the frame I noticed which means extra work removing it every time you connect/disconnect. 2) cost is outrageous. It’s merely a double sleeper tent! Bring the cost down over 3500 and maybe just maybe it could be a possibility.

  5. @NS-fj3jr on May 15, 2025 at 10:42 am

Price is not for most people. You can find a camper for almost that much if someone isn’t trying to rob you, but this is to costly and not very big. No thank you.

    😂

  7. @dpdonmegat1000 on May 15, 2025 at 10:48 am

They have it backwards bikes on the hitch tent on the roof

  8. @2-old-Forthischet on May 15, 2025 at 10:48 am

That’s $4200 more than I want to spend for a tent.

  9. @barthouston5848 on May 15, 2025 at 10:49 am

I like the idea but that’s kind of pricey you think

  10. @jesusreturning3003 on May 15, 2025 at 10:49 am

Still just as bulky to travel around with, if it was half the size to carry around, different story.
Someone had a better idea, they used a roof camper to sleep on ground level, can be placed on a trailer bar to sleep on, or on the ground or place a few tree stumps on the corners of the roof camper and sleep in it. and its a fraction of the price and less bulky.

Jesus is coming soon seek him revelation 6 😊

I’ve got an idea, why don’t you turn the background music up louder so it’s even more annoying.

  17. @danokit2908 on May 15, 2025 at 10:55 am

    Where’s the rainfly

  18. @gphilipc2031 on May 15, 2025 at 10:56 am

  19. @dannybrezelhorner2715 on May 15, 2025 at 10:56 am

Dude I can just sleep in my gen 2 CRV, hell I could buy a new CRV for the price of that damn tent

  20. @saabg on May 15, 2025 at 10:58 am

Nothing like a tent full of exhaust fumes to help you get a good night sleep.

  21. @ctech24 on May 15, 2025 at 10:59 am

Hopefully your drunk buddy doesn’t decide to take the vehicle to buy more beer while its hooked up to the tow hitch! 😲

  22. @gilbertoalvarez29 on May 15, 2025 at 10:59 am

You know you can buy camping cot if you don’t like sleeping on the ground 🤠

  23. @JWGim-k3t on May 15, 2025 at 11:01 am

why don’t u just get a tent with a tray and chuck in the car

  24. @michaelbrown6325 on May 15, 2025 at 11:01 am

That’s terrible!!! Takes up Way too much room for a small tent.

  25. @jaiizwaii89 on May 15, 2025 at 11:03 am

    lol the price

  26. @h.a.barker412 on May 15, 2025 at 11:05 am

when baby stroller designers ‘grow up’

  28. @KcSoundzENT on May 15, 2025 at 11:07 am

Cool but that price is ridiculous I bought a used pop up for $1500 painted and reupholstered the interior, new flooring, curtains, mattresses, stove/oven, replaced all lighting fixtures and added solar panels, charge controller etc all of that didn’t even total 4.3k

  29. @dtrain3026 on May 15, 2025 at 11:08 am

It’s weird there’s no safe place for her purse at that event

  30. @lilli1259 on May 15, 2025 at 11:09 am

The price is just ridiculous people can do without 😂

  31. @armored-clown on May 15, 2025 at 11:09 am

Lmfao these companies are getting ridiculous. Just buy a $200 10 person cabin tent! Unreal.

  32. @RB01138 on May 15, 2025 at 11:09 am

As a RTT owner, this is absolutely not the way to go for an alternative. It has almost every major downside of an RTT (incredibly high starting price, bulky/awkward) with only one SMALL upside that can be found with literally any other kind of tent(that you can dive away without tearing it down. You could buy a swag tent on a platform or cot, it would be a fraction of the cost, lighter, and less cumbersome.

It’s ridiculous enough that people are buying RTT’s for regular campsites (you’re paying 5 times as much for a tent that is objectively inferior in every way for that use case) and now we’re taking cot tents and making them worse. Car camping/overlanding/boondocking, are supposed to be about going out and exploring, relaxing, and enjoying yourself. Yet we are inventing solutions in search of problems you could buy an RTT and put it on top of a small cargo trailer for not much more money, and get a far more versatile and useful set up.

Even RTT’s only really make sense of a specific type of off-road camping where ground conditions are enough of a concern that you want to keep the whole thing elevated. There are loads of options for quick set up ground tents, and unless you’re buying a hard top and a big one (mine sleeps 4) you’re better off with basically anything else. The tent in the video is just a way to separate gullible people from their money.

    Lolz

  34. @praisegod3267 on May 15, 2025 at 11:10 am

    Outrageous price

  35. @BarGolum on May 15, 2025 at 11:11 am

I’m rather to sleep inside my car than to carry on with that little monster, just buy a regular tent.

  36. @pauleverest on May 15, 2025 at 11:12 am

    Too much set up

  37. @182punkbunny on May 15, 2025 at 11:12 am

It all look good until the price

  38. @krh007 on May 15, 2025 at 11:14 am

That price tag is insane!!. A pop-up tent and a camp-stretcher (single of double) gets you off the ground real quick for under $500 and all fits easily into the back or on the roof of a small SUV and so much lighter than that contraption.

  39. @stevenbathurst7027 on May 15, 2025 at 11:15 am

its a good idea but over $4,000 no way. I can see $2,000. It’s nylon and aluminum. very little R&D

  40. @uwantmeks on May 15, 2025 at 11:16 am

Looks an oversized baby carrier ❤😅

  41. @doloresdickie72 on May 15, 2025 at 11:16 am

    Price is ridiculous 😂

  42. @reylunajr on May 15, 2025 at 11:17 am

Just tow a micro camper at that point. Less time , hassle and money.

  43. @ericdebord on May 15, 2025 at 11:18 am

    That is very cool.

  44. @TimTamRipple on May 15, 2025 at 11:21 am

Where do you get it from???

  45. @Ceviche956 on May 15, 2025 at 11:21 am

    Tent cot

  46. @catchinfishies5765 on May 15, 2025 at 11:22 am

Clunky and bulky, i wouldn’t use this thing if i got one for free lol

  47. @chaddydaddyproductions5873 on May 15, 2025 at 11:23 am

    That’s badly worth $1,200

  48. @BraydenSchwarzman on May 15, 2025 at 11:24 am

I dont understand the point why not just pitch a tent on the ground

  49. @jimthompson717 on May 15, 2025 at 11:26 am

Materials at wholesale $400. Factory Labor $300

  50. @mycocoaone on May 15, 2025 at 11:27 am

    Heavy and expensive!
