As a professional cleaner this is not really true and yes it will smell like vinegar you’re only mixing it with water. As it sets it may clear up some of the smell but it still will be a strong smell. Mixing a small amount of bleach and water will be much better to use and or peri oxide

I heard spraying the vinegar spray and a soapy water spray gives a 99.9% disinfection rate

All I’m saying is no matter how much you clean that a bear will smell it. Animals can still smell where the food has been and you’re going to tuck that underneath your bed. If you think that you’re safe inside of a car from the bear, you’re sadly mistaken.

A mora knife is great knife but its not the best for food prep i recommend a thinner knife for food

  11. @matthewjohnson9746 on June 26, 2025 at 12:04 pm

What a great idea! I would love to spend half of my camping trip spewing from both ends because someone thought it was a good idea to use dilute vinegar to try and kill salmonella.

  12. @arol-main on June 26, 2025 at 12:05 pm

It does leave smell but subtle

    Camping 🏕 CUTIE ❗😎

  19. @sugoiharris1348 on June 26, 2025 at 12:18 pm

It will not adequately cut through grease and oil. It’s not even that great at disinfecting. A spray bottle with a dawn water mix and and extra one of just water would do the job better. Usually though I just prep at home and use cast iron and stainless steel to cook while camping which is easy to clean and disinfect with fire.

  22. @jackielingenfelter717 on June 26, 2025 at 12:30 pm

It’ll still smell a bit like vinegar 🙄

  23. @ashleesmith580 on June 26, 2025 at 12:30 pm

😨Heavily allergic to vinegar. I’d die. Lol

  24. @kimlittle9236 on June 26, 2025 at 12:31 pm

It is easy if you don’t bring any meat at all clean up is not dangerous for food poisoning

  25. @NirvanicSunshine on June 26, 2025 at 12:31 pm

Why not use hydrogen peroxide, which is more reliable in terms of disinfection?

  26. @TRYHARDGAMER604 on June 26, 2025 at 12:34 pm

I would double check that, it might have more of a placebo effect rather than actually making your cutting board clean and free of harmful germs and bacteria

  27. @TASHXFILES on June 26, 2025 at 12:35 pm

It is not a disinfectant, diluting the vinegar with water makes it essentially just acidic water. And saying it’s not a registered disinfectant is implying that it has any ability to disinfect things, when it actually doesn’t.

  28. @crisrose9707 on June 26, 2025 at 12:35 pm

I’m sure she knows this but PLEASE wash your dishes when you get back with soap and running water. They will go nasty if left for a long time otherwise 🙂

The easiest way to pull all the scientists out of the woods and into the YouTube comment section is to post a video tutorial of anything. Literally anything.

  32. @themjmcinnesnetwork on June 26, 2025 at 12:38 pm

    Great tips, thank you!❤

  33. @dshe8637 on June 26, 2025 at 12:39 pm

Vinegar doesn’t replace hot, soapy water

  34. @RichardBronosky on June 26, 2025 at 12:39 pm

If you ARE going to carry any form of soap, only carry a bar of Castile Soap. I’ll leave it as an exercise for the reader to research all the things you can use it for.

Good for cleaning. NOT as good for disinfecting. Be aware about this.

  36. @boatymcboatface392 on June 26, 2025 at 12:43 pm

How about a spray bottle with actual cleaner that disinfects things. She is giving horrible advice.

  37. @johndeaux5122 on June 26, 2025 at 12:48 pm

    Such a great tip/hack–much thanks …

  38. @duanehenderson2171 on June 26, 2025 at 12:48 pm

I’d just use water but vinegar is a great idea. Thanks

  39. @lyfandeth on June 26, 2025 at 12:49 pm

My 70-year-old friend who still drives a semi truck and is the healthiest man I know …whom his wife said recently to me he’s only been sick four times in his entire life rinses his dishes with a little bit of bottled water and his fingers and then wipes them with a paper towel. Uses very little water and has done this for years. Many many years and is never sick. He does eat a balance diet with lots of garlic and hot peppers. Physically active and praise and trusts Jesus for healing and health.
