How to: Awesome Kids Treasure Hunt – Fun, Easy & Cheap outdoor activity!

In this video, I gave the kids an experience they will always remember – a real treasure hunt for buried treasure!
I created a map, which led the kids around the yard to find a key that opened a locked box, buried elsewhere in the yard. They used gardening shovels to dig up the buried box. Then they unlocked it using the found key, and discovered coins that they had never seen before (old pesos from ebay.)

Cool tip; dab an old used tea bag on the map, it adds to the effect 😀

This might be a dumb question, but why do you need a whole map, when all the kids need to do is look at the location of the treasure?

I did that with my best friend boys I live next to a river and I took my canoe out and hit coins in fairy houses out in the woods along the river we spend a half a day Mane treasure hunt finding coins in fairy houses. Lots of great memories
