This is exactly what I do manually with auto iso and I usually keep it on custom button having my fstop to my lowest and my shutter stays at 1000 and if I see the subject is stationary I will move my shutter speed to 500

Tbh I’ve used manual, auto iso for most things and it works wonders.

I use Manual with Auto-ISO for birds in flight only – all other scenarios I shoot full manual.

So stupid, beccause high iso will affect the picture a lot.
I have fixed iso at 400,800,or 1600 and then play around with aperature and exposure time. But it alao depends on what im photographing, time of the day it is,what weather it is, and what picture i try to get.

  18. @ru2ik on May 3, 2025 at 10:35 am

my Nikon D200 throwing the iso up to 1600 (now there are more noise that the picture)

  24. @PhotographySnack on May 3, 2025 at 10:52 am

    Beautiful images.

  25. @Wszyc on May 3, 2025 at 10:54 am

    Aperture priority always.

What I care is the aperture to make sure Im using the sharpest fstop of my lens, also I set the highest ISO my camera can handle without loosing sharpness and I dont change it during the shooting. Im only left with setting exposure that I want and the shutter speed is what I got and I need to live with if its to low the photo was not never possible to be taken 😉 for me if the photo is even is slightest not the sharpest it can getm it will land in the trash anyway. I could have great action behavior with correctly set shutter and apeature but iso was 800 on my 7dm2 and it will loose some detail even after denoise it can be seen on 300% zoom so it lands in trash

  26. @sean93956 on May 3, 2025 at 10:56 am

What lens is that zooming in that far at f 1.8???

  27. @Himanshuramwani2005 on May 3, 2025 at 10:56 am
