Beginner Hiking Tips

Beginner Hiking Tips

Four things I wish I did sooner as a hiker 👀👇 [save this for later]

Don’t make the mistakes I made with these fours tips 🫢

1. Getting dedicated hiking boots (or shoes). Having shoes with traction and durability makes all the difference. Your confidence will sky rocket
2. Finding a properly fitting backpack. I used to finish every hike with lower back aches and sore shoulders. Avoid this with the right pack!
3. Adding electrolytes to your water. This will reduce headache & fatigue caused by dehydration. Hiking with electrolytes is like a night and day difference 🤯
4. Packing lunch & snacks. If you feel fatigued (not to be mixed up with out-of-breath or soreness), you’re likely under-fueling. I aim to eat ~at least~ every 2 hours on a hike.

I’m big into electrolytes. As a cyclist, I used it for hiking pretty much right when I got into it. I keep one bottle for plain water and the other for the mix. Nice video and tune!

Whats the electrolyte fluid you squirt into your bottle, and do you prefer bottles vs hydration bladders? Or is the bottle only for the electrolytes
