5 Must haves to start camping πŸ•οΈ

When starting out camping, knowing what to get for your first trip can be tricky. Here are some essentials to get away.

1. Tent – Buy, Borrow or hire, it doesn’t matter. For a family in the one tent aim for a tent size 8p and up.

2. Bedding – there are a multitude of options to suit your needs. Be aware of the cheap and nasty though. To start off you can use sheets and doona from home to save buying sleeping bags initially.

3. Chair – after a day of camping activities it’s time to sit by the camp fire. Sooo you need something to sit on. Make sure the chair can hold your weight and is a decent enough size for ultimate comfort.

4. Lighting – If you can grab lights or torches with lithium batteries that can be recharged. Go a light that can hang from tent roof and a decent torch to start with.

5. Cooking – many campgrounds have cooking facilities on site. If not then you need to take your own. Don’t go overboard. A single burner stove might be all to you initially. Plan your meals and only take the pans and gear you need for that meal.

Sing out if you have any questions or need a hand with starting out camping.

To clarify you get a tent that suits your camping needs. You don’t need a palace to sleep in if there’s only one person sleeping in it. They have a big family in this video so that’s why they got a bigggg tent
