Great video. Lots of good info.
Great video. Congratulations on Backcountry sponsorship!
“Super” love your content for the PNW.
GREAT tips for winter gear!!!
Hey! Happy Holidays! Audio Engineering greetings from Germany 😉 Chris
Great advice! It really makes me want to go for a winter hike.
Hey! I haven’t watched your channel in a long time. Awesome video
Wow! Great information! Thanks for sharing.
Congrats on landing Backcountry as a sponsor. I love their merino wool base layers. Cheers!
hi…new to your channel..thanks for al the great info..I will be needing waterproof hiking boots but I do have 2 pairs of hiking boots that are very good but not waterproof..do u know if silicon spray works? thanks!
I always keep a few HotHands hand warmers in my pack during winter. Cold fingers or toes suck and they are a life saver for those times you posthole into a creek.
Great video! Interesting take on down vs synthetic. I’m not from the northwest, so I appreciate the perspective.
I have both a down and syn jacket. I tend to sweat when I move, and it always seems to be slightly raining, so i agree w the synthetic as my primary. (I’m outside just North of Eugene)I think of my down a camp jacket, or a ‘sit by the fire’ gear, ie wet down fails.
Great video. I plan on hiking for the first time next week, thanks for your advice.
Super
Very informative, thanks for sharing
Excellent video
Very cool video! Especially this time of year here in Oregon. And yes… pun intended! Great advice. Love the Darn Tough Socks. I camped just north of Diamond Lake last month -8 degrees. Darn Tough Socks were darn appreciated!
For some reason, I’ve always been so befuddled when it came to layering for hiking, but you’ve cleared it up perfectly for me!
I live in Corvallis OR so most of my day hikes aren’t this cold. Growing up in Illinois, I find I often overdress for hiking here in Oregon and end up really sweaty 😂 slowly figuring out the perfect combo. I have fallen in love with the puffy vest!
When it’s truly cold outside, if you really want to have warm hands, mittens are the thing to use. Happy Holidays !
It’s a good video
take a white gas rather than a canister stove for winter trips in the cold
Winter definitely adds complexity but that area looks so beautiful! Nice video!
Cool you got a sponsor for the video that’s exciting. Great info of course hopefully we can connect on some of those East snowshoe trips looks like your ready to go now. Have a wonderful holiday Franziska.
No bugs, little sweat, it’s actually cold enough to wear one of my 30 jackets…..I LOVE WINTER!
