Most excellent video with awesome commentary!
I just found your channel while looking at tents and I’m glad I did. Great information and I appreciate you showing the set up especially being a short woman myself.
I re-watched this to help me decide which of the several tents that I own to take with me on an upcoming trip. I decided to bring my 4P cabin vs my 6P dome (I can stand up in both of them) since my cabin tent has steel poles vs. the fiberglass ones on my 6P, and easier solo setup with my cabin tent. I will be bringing my 2P bike-packing tent (aluminum poles) for in-transit overnight camping and as a backup.
Wow!!! Prayers answered by you. Thank you so much!!! Completely turned us around from what we were going to purchase. Now we’ll look into Dome style. You saved us more than just money. Again… thank you. 💕
well-produced video and good guidance but as far as dome tents go, they make domes as instant set-up now also. depending on which tent style you choose, the ease of set-up should not be a factor. all of these main styles of tents are manufactured in easy set-up varieties.
As far as dome tents taking high winds: when these tents are made with affordability in mind, the fiberglass poles can snap under high wind conditions.
Great video. Thank you for the information, exactly what I was looking for
Thanks for this helpful video! I myself bought a pop up cabin tent, and j disagree that the size in storage and transport is "large". Perhaps it’s all relative, but the whole reason I bought this tent is because ny Gazelle T4+ is just too much. It’s too heavy, takes up an enormous amount of space, is difficult to set up by yourself without damaging, and just generally too much! Great tent, just overkill. Thanks again!
11:49 spider?
best tent explanation ever . only talks about what non-professional people really want to know first. Especially the condensation part. Thanks a lot
Merry Christmas to you and your wife
This woman knows nothing.
That was a good and thorough presentation, thanks !
The family 😂tent is so big, I have to leave some kids at home because there is not place for them in the car.
What would you recommend for rain?
Happy New year to you and your wife
I think I’m going to love my Nemo Aurora Highrise tent I just purchased. It’s like a dome tent with vertical walls. This was very informative thank you.
Thanks!
Hi Samantha hi Warden, do ya recommend using different spikes for the Coleman 10 person instant cabin tent
You are one of my faves. When you threw that pop up tent…I laughed so hard. Your intellect coupled with humor makes your info easy and enjoyable to consume.
Very helpful! Thanks!
I need special use tent. Using as momentary workplace. Floor size enough (9 m2) to work and have standing height. All that at easy carry size and small storage.
I know guide lines…not familiar with “guy” lines?
Great review. You covered many of the concerns people have when choosing a tent. Good job. See you on the next one.
What brand name and model cabin tent do you recommend?
The music in this video is insanely well done. Not really something I’d expect from a educational video
Great video!
I was just looking at the lifespan of a tent and And stumble upon your channel I went on a cold weather camping trip this weekend And my tent flooded.
I have an extremely loose term for what is considered a house. I consider anything you live in a house so a tent is a house. You can easily purchase a $5,000 tent house and you’ll save $395k (98.75% off discount) compared to purchasing a $400k detached family house. Even a cave in which no one pays money for is also a house.
I am so glad I found your channel. I’m homeless getting ready to set up my camp next week. I needed to see this video so I have a good idea on what to get. I’m 6,5 so a cabin tent makes sense. I’m aiming to survive winter in Nebraska. What would you recommend? I need to be warm and survive all the snow.
Great info. Thank you!
This was the most informative video on tents I’ve ever seen
What’s the best tent for the north east?
As someone who lives in the southwest (Arizona), I think the type of tent you get depends on the specific area you’ll be camping in. Yes, we are known for our hot summers, but the fall and winter can get surprisingly cold. The entire state is surprisingly dry, but condensation can still be an issue if you’re not prepared for it. You definitely want good ventilation. Not only to prevent condensation, but also if you’re going to camp in the summer, it can get quite hot. However, if you’re camping in the colder months, that’s something to consider, too. I’d prefer a tent that has plenty of ventilation, AND lots of zippable windows so you can zip them up to retain as much heat as you need. Arizona’s terrain is varied and so is the climate. So your tent needs may be different depending on whether your camping in the deserts or the mountains. Just something to keep in mind.
Thanks for such great videos! What do you think about inflatable tents?
Great video!
The last time I was in a tent was during my Military years in the mid to late 80s. I ordered a pop-up 3-4 person tent from Amazon that’s coming Friday. I live in Pittsburgh, and I’ve been feeding Squirrels in my area for 24 months so far. I just want to use it during the daytime to hang out with them in their area for a couple of hours. Thanks for the informative video! BTW, you gotta new subscriber!!

Very educational. Thank you!
is there a dome-tent on the market that’s easy to get into and out of like the cabin tents? this would be for 2 people at most.
