“In it for a minute” I’m listening
Insightful info❤❤
2:39 depends did the baby come before Adam ?
Thanks for the advice. Never had a trailer/camper/rv before. Always wanted to get a park model outside the Jersey Shore and leave it there. Is there anything else to be aware of?
I had no idea an rv channel would solve the chicken or egg first problem. 😂 hes got a good point. 😂
can i ask for tips but i wont buy from you
really excellent work. thank you. very thoughtful. thank you for sharing your knowledge and expertise
Hi Josh! We are a couple of newly retired folks and are getting our first REAL camper… We’ve been using a tent trailer and are selling our home, buying a nice trailer and going on the road for 2-3 years. We are looking at the Cougar 25DBSWE and the Passport 229BH. What would you recommend between the two? Do you have those models on your lot? We prefer gently used! 🙂
BUT WHOM CREATED THE EGG?🤔
Love the honesty
Let the people know that every truck stop is usable for parking for the night or two, especially if you buy fuel and take nice showers while you’re there. Just don’t park next to a refrigerated truck!!
What is that 2 axle wildwood fsx you walked by at 4:35 ? I couldn’t find when I looked up, do you know exact model ? I tried to look it up, but only saw different versions with one axle.
Google can’t find me an inspector within 85 miles. 😢
If someone says they have a f150 with a 5.3… they dont know what they have.
If the seller required the buyer to pay a technician to babysit the inspector… that would be a full stop for me.
Thanks man for the integrity and honest advice… I’m out i guess even though it suits my lifestyle very much.
I just spent 750 on an inspection, but that inspection saved me approximately 50K, as that unit had water damage on the front wall and the roof rack (could need a new roof)
Neither came first. Proto-chicken and proto-egg developed together.
That showed your ignorance and I stopped listening.
Yes I bought a travel trailer recently from a dealership brand new it had no spare tire, I had no ladder on the back of the camper, it was missing a fire extinguisher and I made a list of these things and I told them these things have to be corrected taken care of or I’m not gonna be buying this camper so I wish I would’ve got a inspector to come out prior to purchasing from this dealership it did not even have a spare tire on the back and I told him I need a spare tire then they put one on there and it looked nice but I didn’t even see it it was only a five lug nut spare tire but I needed a six lug nut to go on my camper so the spare tire was Useless and I took it back to them and they apologize and put another brand new one on there that was the right size and everything for our camper this is in Atlanta Georgia
I won’t pay more than $200 for a QuiCK INSPECTION unless I’m in love with it. BTW, DON’T fall in love with a trailor. Too many choices out there. Just verify that it’s not BROKE BEFORE YOU BUY. -peace. ps. BUy your OWN Solar stuff. It’s WAY better. 😉
Theres a reason hes the RV nerd haha. 5.3 is chevy haha
from a camping and rv family who wants to buy an rv I watch a lot of your content and find it super helpful.
Every pre owned rv i stepped into, i told them this is used. The second i step in. So… if you have a nose, youll never buy used. Theres absolutely no possible way. I stepped into about 50+ used ones. Looking to buy. Ive soemt months researching before i buy. I will never buy used. Im purchasing new this month i have cash saved. But i aint smelling anyones booty in my tiny little space. 🤢🤮
The chicken came first. The dinosaur evolved slowly into what we call chickens. Many mutations over millions of years were needed to get to the chicken. When it finally happened, when we finally got a "chicken", it wasn’t a chicken until it hatched. Its mom and dad were something that were almost chickens… who had a chicken baby. And, for the record, a "chicken" didn’t just happen one day. Evolution is a slow process. Dinosaurs slowly evolved over millions of generations into chickens.
Love this🎉Definitely going to you guys for my RV this year❤
Thank for the great information 👍
Thanks great advice!
…sir, I lasted 6 seconds into hearing your voice before I stopped the video to tell you that that put on voice is beyond aggravatingly, beyond puker, its downright insulting to the audience…speak in a real voice.
Excellent video … lots of useful info
I almost made it to the end .omg I just can’t take this guy, I don’t know why he just rubs me the wrong way.
At ~22.23 that units slide looks like it’s seen better days lol. Not pointing out to be a pain, rather that your videos taught me/trained to look for such things, so I just thought it’d be neat to bring up
Tip 5, Ask What You Get: Yes! And take pictures and take notes. Not only might you not get a battery, the propane tanks, and even the hitch; if you do, they might not be the same. Dealer could substitute a used refrigerator for the newer one you saw. You might not get the same tires. Heck, you might not even get the same unit! And that happens! You inspect one unit, sign, and come back tomorrow to pick it up. You do, but something seems off: "Were those the cabinet handles we saw?" "Were those dents there before?" "This doesn’t ride the same." Well, they likely substituted a whole different unit. You challenge them, but they say, "Oh, well that particular one sold, but this is the exact same model you agreed to buy and even has better tires." But it’s not the one you bought, and it’s not the one you paid to have inspected! And, guess what? The contract you signed may even have permitted them to do that! Read agreements carefully. Get in writing that what you saw is what you get. Confirm it with photos, videos, notes, and serial numbers. Don’t get cheated!
Hi Josh:
Is it beneficial to the buyer to pay cash, or finance with a reasonable down payment? I know from experience that car dealers frown on buyers paying cash. Thankyou.
PS We appreciate your videos for newbies!
Seems like good advice from someone who’s been there, done that and got the t-shirt. Or, in this case, a hat. 😁
Thank you I appreciate it
What do do if your poor? Semi serious question.
Campgrounds are not the same as they used to be. So many require reservations far in advance and they are crowded. It’s good to have an idea where you want to camp.
Trustworthy, great product knowledge, impeccable delivery with just a splash of humor!
Thank you for this video, it was very helpful. I’m a first time buyer & I feel a bit better on what to look & ask for. I do have a question. What would you save are the best top 5 travel trailers RV’s for a 1/2 ton suburban rear wheel drive? 2000 to 2006 suburban are the same engine (5.3) 327 V8
Josh.
Eggs before chickens. By chance, did you fail biology? LOL
🛎️👍🏻😉new friend learning
$999 in KY
Getting my first camper this weekend. Used Avenger 24bhs. Total of 300 miles on this camper, new tires, new mattress ect. Bran new roof due to a stick going through the top, new roof is 3 months old. Guy is asking for buy out on his loan so getting a crazy deal. This will make or break me in the camper market.
Hate to say this, but you need to learn to be your own inspector. Learned that from home buying. If you’ve never owned an RV a good way to learn is to befriend a full time RVer who is also a DIYer. And hopefully they’re willing to go with you when you look at some some used ones. I know living in one for 5 years full time, the rose colored glasses are off for me. I’ve learned to look at seals, plumbing, appliances, roofs, even frames. It’s crazy how many problems I’ve encountered and seen.
Your videos are awesome! I’m learning so much and your explanations are very clear. I still feel like a dum dum when it comes to the electrical and plumbing of an RV but if I search, I’ll probably find you talking about it. Appreciate your advice and I’m guessing you have put Bish on the nationwide or maybe even the worldwide map. LOL
Very good info Josh you are the best. For me the biggest benefit is hauling my own bed around. I cannot sleep for shit in hotels or airbnbs. Idk what my issue is but it takes me weeks to get used to a new living space!
Thank you
Rv parks are getting way to expensive, not to mention RVs are way way over priced. Best tip ever. Don’t buy RVs.
Thank you so much for these great tips
