Good luck in channel development
Thanks for the tips super helpful for a beginner like me. My season is over where I live but I’ll be good and ready next year. My friend took me a couple of times fly fishing and I’m hooked. Beautiful brook trout in a sweet honey hole there’s nothing like catching them and getting them in your net.
Which campsite was this or roughly whereabouts? Looks like an awesome spot !
You had the most important part almost right. Its an F word.. just like fish. Fun.
First 5 seconds I subscribe, sick video
great video, well shot
Thank you for the video and the advice. Instead of wasting time looking at gear and watching people catch fish on YouTube, I’ve been studying up on reading water etc. I could clearly see many situations where I could have caught several more fish with the right tactics. time we’ll spent!
Great video man🎣👏 Love the vibe 🙌
Can someone say STORY TELLER!!! Your craft is so appreciated!
Fly fish question:
What types of water activity tells you it’s a “good” spot?
All very solid advice. Thanks for sharing!
This dude could literally make a video on taxes and I’d watch it. The editing and charm is second to none. Bro gonna hit 20K subs by the end of the year.
Solid advice and honest too. However, a little illustration goes a long way. For example, you got the first fish in front of that rock 10ft out. You casted above it and let the dry fly surf the fast water first and it slowed down naturally in front of the fish. Also, you were keeping most of the line out of the water. So, it illustrated three tips you mentioned in the video. (Where the fish live, you don’t need long casting, short line)
Great tips
They say rod is the most important part of the equipment. Would you recommend a budget rod or something in the $200+ range. If you know your going to stick with it.
Jon, videos are great! Keep up the good work. Not going to lie, when you said your rig was 2wd in another video, I subscribed at the moment. You are out enjoying this hobby/lifestyle and not letting things hold you back. Keep it up!
Where are you located? And I really wish I could get in to fishing.
Dude, if you ever make it down to Florida, let’s link up and chase some tarpon on the 5wt’s.
What kind of net is that?
Thanks Jon! You’re are great communicator and teacher. Blue skies!
Love it! Those were some big trees. That’s an awesome spot
Good stuff, dude. I’m a guide of almost 30 years, and that is all better than good advice.
Also, I co-host a fly fishing show, and your production is really good.
I will definitely like and subscribe.
Cheers
Could you make me a list of flys to get I haven’t bought any yet
Simple. Concise. Tight Editing. Man you are good. Now I want to learn to fish.
me too it saved my life.
