    Top notch heartfelt advice!! ❤️👍🏻

  3. @dharmapunk777 on June 20, 2025 at 11:51 am

Or you just always keep it in the same spot…

  4. @gcvrsa on June 20, 2025 at 11:54 am

This is actually a pretty good idea, assuming you aren’t the sort of person who doesn’t want to be seen.

  5. @RockyNitro5470 on June 20, 2025 at 11:54 am

    Great 👍 👌

  6. @samhiatt on June 20, 2025 at 11:54 am

Product idea – a first aid / emergency kit that comes with a couple lengths of utility cord for this purpose. Put your name on it and I’ll buy it. 😉

  7. @adambastien3635 on June 20, 2025 at 11:56 am

    Nice…I’m doing this. 🤔

  8. @bikebum2006 on June 20, 2025 at 11:56 am

What knot to secure the replaced zipper tab? And what size parachord?

  9. @markrein6904 on June 20, 2025 at 11:56 am

all that for a boo boo kit

  10. @carsenwollis4756 on June 20, 2025 at 11:57 am

What kind of pack is that

  11. @it-kz3mo on June 20, 2025 at 12:00 pm

The emergency kit,or the first aid kit MUST BE NOT in your backpack-if you are injured, your medical kit must be visible and accessible….
You must not find your tourniquet, your first aid/emergency kit….
    If your friend injured-you must use his medical kit-his items(medical kit) for him,your items – for you….group items-for a current group….

  12. @pittiebaby on June 20, 2025 at 12:01 pm

    Good idea

  13. @dubious6718 on June 20, 2025 at 12:02 pm

My first aid pack is red, and hangs on the outside, and its much bigger than that…

  14. @najroe on June 20, 2025 at 12:04 pm

this is standard for my packing, also I pack an israeli bandage in each leg pocket when outdoors, Also a CAT tourniquet on the right shouderstrap in a quick deploy velcro pouch and that TQ is largest possible closing loop and is thus staged for even faster deployment (check here on YT for quick deployment CAT staging and folding)

  15. @ginacardarella on June 20, 2025 at 12:06 pm

So simple and what an excellent idea❤

  16. @davekrauser7070 on June 20, 2025 at 12:07 pm

Or keep your first-aid kit on the outside of the pack clearly marked.

  17. @00ceven on June 20, 2025 at 12:08 pm

I need this on my pocketbook, meno Anastasia causes sheer panic 😂

  18. @bunjininja on June 20, 2025 at 12:09 pm

    This is actually good advice.

  20. @dfernandez3482 on June 20, 2025 at 12:11 pm

    What ruck is that? 🤔🙂

  21. @rezinatebasshead on June 20, 2025 at 12:12 pm

i do this on my backpack i wear to work. I don’t have any emergency stuff in there but it does have a lot of zippers and compartments so i have different colored cord on the different compartments so I can find what I’m looking for quickly

  22. @Danster547 on June 20, 2025 at 12:16 pm

    Shear panic

  23. @db.mc2 on June 20, 2025 at 12:17 pm

  24. @flyinlow7190 on June 20, 2025 at 12:17 pm

Here’s a tip. If you’re in shear panic that often, you need a new hobby.

  25. @BiggMo on June 20, 2025 at 12:19 pm

    Simple solutions are genius

  26. @Masked_One_1316 on June 20, 2025 at 12:25 pm

    "sheer panic"
people that don’t do this type of stuff: I wouldn’t panic I’d stay calm

Anyone that has done this type of stuff: oh yeah you will.

  27. @Oscarmyer69 on June 20, 2025 at 12:25 pm

I use a red carabiner to mark myn

  28. @kenmccrady1228 on June 20, 2025 at 12:26 pm

    Very useful advice!!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🙌🏼

  29. @steveshaw2581 on June 20, 2025 at 12:29 pm

This is great advice. But i also recommend packing your kit so that you know where it is without needing a guide. Its your kit, afterall.

  30. @miklosantal609 on June 20, 2025 at 12:29 pm

What if my pack is red?

  31. @MrGberruex on June 20, 2025 at 12:30 pm

    Love it, thanks

  32. @RT-wq8bd on June 20, 2025 at 12:30 pm

    Smart!

  33. @TestUser-cf4wj on June 20, 2025 at 12:32 pm

I’d like to stress how important it is to cultivate an ability to make good decisions under pressure. Panic will get you killed. I was never a marine, but the folks I know who were have all told me that they spent a lot of time training while under intense pressure, specifically to make sure that when everything went to sh*t around them they could still function at a high level.

  34. @Rando-user-zm1fx on June 20, 2025 at 12:33 pm

    Smart 🤔

  35. @sergeypotapkin on June 20, 2025 at 12:34 pm

Идея хорошая! Кто бы что не говорил.

  36. @itsumonihon on June 20, 2025 at 12:35 pm

Makes a good case for just using a big medical red cross tag on the fastener. While not woods survival..don’t forget to have both a medkit and ABC type fire extinguisher in your car, folks. Make them both good quality, ample or generous sized, it’s $100 for each, $200 for a set of both items and they could save your life or someone else’s someday.

  37. @benjohnson3041 on June 20, 2025 at 12:39 pm

I’ve done this for a while now, I will also tell my friends to look at my pack and I will point it out.

  38. @YorkshiremanOutdoors on June 20, 2025 at 12:40 pm

    Good tip bud

  39. @teatimeboy3240 on June 20, 2025 at 12:41 pm

Tutorial for the knot please? I don’t want a zipper with a rope that comes loose often

  40. @ProfessorToadstool on June 20, 2025 at 12:42 pm

This sort of video is why I subscribe to this channel. Bear Essentials is a treasure trove of big brain produce.

  41. @michaelmarkey2865 on June 20, 2025 at 12:44 pm

Wow That’s A Direct Symbolic Indication TiP ‼️❤️LOVE IT.

  42. @joelnorman4417 on June 20, 2025 at 12:44 pm

Google idea, but I prefer a whole pouch which attaches to the outside of your pack with a quick release method. Mine uses releases via Velcro.

Also, if you’re hiking and sustain the kind of injury which truly demands immediate attention, you’ll want a much more robust FAK than the one in this video. Tourniquet, splint, compression bandages, etc won’t fit in that lil Walmart special.

  43. @vvs3796 on June 20, 2025 at 12:45 pm

Ok, what r contents of this red pouch?

  44. @musicismymind88 on June 20, 2025 at 12:45 pm

    This is a great idea

  45. @Divici02623 on June 20, 2025 at 12:45 pm

    Solid advice

  46. @TerryDavis-i4z on June 20, 2025 at 12:45 pm

    Good advice 😱👍

  47. @p4inmaker on June 20, 2025 at 12:47 pm

Bonus if you make a slightly bigger recognizable paracord weave pull tab, you’ll be able to find it in pitch black darkness easily too.

  48. @Uhnonuhmous on June 20, 2025 at 12:47 pm

    Bravo Zulu 👍

  49. @soonmeekim930 on June 20, 2025 at 12:47 pm

My pack is generally half first aid, half water. I’m accident prone and I sweat a lot. If someone opens my bag and doesn’t find first aid, they need to go to an eye doctor. Well..even if they were blind I’m sure they could find something of use. How they’d get all packed back up? That’s on them 😂

My retarded friend will still search every pocket xD
