Who is Ron Spomer
For 44 years, I’ve had the good fortune to photograph and write about my passion – the outdoor life. Wild creatures and wild places have always stirred me – from the first flushing pheasant that frightened me out of my socks in grandpa’s cornfield to the last whitetail that dismissed me with a wag of its tail. In my attempts to connect with this natural wonder, become an integral part of our ecosystem, and capture a bit of its mystery, I’ve photographed, hiked, hunted, birded, and fished across much of this planet. I’ve seen the beauty that everyone should see and survived adventures that everyone should experience. I may not have climbed the highest mountains, canoed the wildest rivers, caught the largest fish, or shot the biggest bucks, but I’ve tried. Perhaps you have, too. And that’s the essential thing. Being out there, an active participant in our outdoor world.

    Absolutely

  2. @jk-kr8jt on April 8, 2025 at 1:45 am

I’ve found a fair number of people who have forgotten their knife. I guess a knife is unneeded until after you shoot.

  3. @FIRE_Draco828 on April 8, 2025 at 1:46 am

Nc wildlife has taken their sweet time getting me a copy of my license and tags

  4. @PootisPenserPow on April 8, 2025 at 1:46 am

Ah yes, the paperwork necessary to hunt food, as man has done for thousands of years, in the land of the free. Wonderful.

  5. @garrycoy806 on April 8, 2025 at 1:49 am

    Duh

  6. @MichaelDavis-ji4ck on April 8, 2025 at 1:49 am

In Florida u don’t need tags

  7. @GaryYork-tk2ow on April 8, 2025 at 1:53 am

We don’t have "tags" in Mississippi. We just buy our license and that’s it.

  8. @ErnieHernandez-l5u on April 8, 2025 at 1:54 am

    💯💯💯

  9. @chrisguerrero2078 on April 8, 2025 at 1:55 am

So I’m kinda dumb. Does the orange negate the camo?

  10. @oceanalmighty on April 8, 2025 at 1:56 am

    Free men dont ask permission

  11. @Dantethedinodude8 on April 8, 2025 at 1:56 am

Hunting is bad and you shouldnt do it

  12. @cryptocrazy560 on April 8, 2025 at 1:56 am

Paper work is Nazi shit! Period.

  13. @jonc4050 on April 8, 2025 at 1:57 am

    And toilette paper……..gotta have it

  14. @rupertdonavan60 on April 8, 2025 at 2:00 am

    Tag what’s a tag

  15. @JayGBee on April 8, 2025 at 2:01 am

The way we gave to tag in Texas sucks

  16. @strangleholdoutdoors on April 8, 2025 at 2:02 am

This guys a joke and so is the dnr. They made it harder for hunters and easier for poaching.

  17. @davebrewer7587 on April 8, 2025 at 2:03 am

    I dont tag anything

  18. @sigxm5thumb on April 8, 2025 at 2:05 am

Considering I’m a honest hunter who only takes what he needs I don’t need to ask permission from the government to kill animals on my own land

  19. @smalltown1360 on April 8, 2025 at 2:07 am

I turned the video off after “license and tag” sorry old man but the future is now

  20. @George-yd7cx on April 8, 2025 at 2:08 am

Whats your thoughts on hunting on posted land 😂

  21. @casirouscadelly6858 on April 8, 2025 at 2:09 am

What if I have indigenous status

  22. @BasementLoader on April 8, 2025 at 2:10 am

Make sure to pay the king for hunting, breathing, doing basic essential things, etc. You shall own nothing and be happy.

  23. @justinbehl7775 on April 8, 2025 at 2:10 am

Well hello Mr. obvious first time caller long-time listener

  24. @SkiiYacht on April 8, 2025 at 2:14 am

America is so stupid…. you need a license to hunt but you don’t need a license for the gun to hunt😂

  25. @DaWoogieMonster on April 8, 2025 at 2:15 am

It’s such a foreign concept to me having to tag animals. I can legally hunt without tags and out of season.

  26. @michaelkc8459 on April 8, 2025 at 2:15 am

We don’t do paper tags we have the call report line

  27. @chieff6570 on April 8, 2025 at 2:16 am

Unless your hunting on land entitled to your name

  28. @zacharyhudson6235 on April 8, 2025 at 2:19 am

I’m glad I’m native lol I can hunt whenever I want to.

  29. @houliemon1315 on April 8, 2025 at 2:19 am

In many states you have to tag the deer before you put a knife in it !

  30. @scottcolvin4138 on April 8, 2025 at 2:21 am

He’s awesome… very smart. I enjoy listening to him

  31. @Tom-pe3zf on April 8, 2025 at 2:23 am

Does the processor require the tag?

  32. @Vanwolfstein on April 8, 2025 at 2:23 am

Man my light bulb just went off… we can’t go in the woods and kill anything anymore. We have become so populated we have to keep ourselves in check. Our ancestors would just go wherever they wanted and kill whatever they wanted.
Obvious, but the epiphany was deep

  33. @JohnHenryAllman on April 8, 2025 at 2:25 am

    I ain’t never even seen a tag(because I’m in Mississippi)

  34. @guardian1127 on April 8, 2025 at 2:26 am

I buy all my tags on a app on my phone and everything from the tags to my hunter conservation number is on there

  35. @Emadrat58 on April 8, 2025 at 2:27 am

Now that we can telecheck our tags it’s important to bring your phone. Mostly so you can call people if something happens or if you need the help of someone else to retrieve the deer.

  36. @bori_borii on April 8, 2025 at 2:27 am

    Not essential but it’s essential

  37. @JohnDoe-jk8yy on April 8, 2025 at 2:28 am

Shouldn’t need paper work to hunt could you image if our great great grandpa came to visit to day and said let’s go hunt and then you tell him you got to go get a tag from government first paw paw are they will lock you in cage and take your valuables.he probably want to leave

  38. @Hogue_55 on April 8, 2025 at 2:28 am

No the most important thing to bring with you hunting is toilet paper 😂

  39. @DennisLock-x8f on April 8, 2025 at 2:28 am

Ain’t freedon grand…get your permit(permission) to hunt the King’s own deer.

  40. @eduardosc3434 on April 8, 2025 at 2:29 am

Unless youre doing it on your own property

  41. @okieking8503 on April 8, 2025 at 2:31 am

I just tag it online when i get one. Im new to this. Is that wrong. I dont get paper

  42. @davidcarpenter7383 on April 8, 2025 at 2:32 am

State takes your money and they don’t even feed or water deer so if you’re hungry then do what you have to do

  43. @Turtle68427 on April 8, 2025 at 2:35 am

I have Native American blood in me, but apparently not enough to be able to hunt without tags🤦🏽‍♂️ I am Aztec, Cherokee, Choctaw and Chickasaw

  44. @ThesupremeEDGElord on April 8, 2025 at 2:37 am

Where I live you don’t need it if you’re hunting on your own property

  45. @_cal_techie on April 8, 2025 at 2:37 am

What if you are a varmint and predator hunter, legal year around, during deer season?

  46. @MadMan_123 on April 8, 2025 at 2:37 am

I remember me and my brother being so hungry we stole my dads truck and his turkish mauser, killed a deer iron sights, got caught by the game warden. He knew us. We told him why we did it and he said "go home right now and have it packed in the freezer asap". Good man

  47. @Hike_and_Yap on April 8, 2025 at 2:39 am

Imagine what our founding fathers should have said if they had to pay taxes to hunt😂

  48. @raurmanproductions3438 on April 8, 2025 at 2:41 am

We got to make this country free again, The childish crap we’re putting up with with his government needs to stop.

  49. @krowgray5977 on April 8, 2025 at 2:41 am

We wouldn’t need tags and bag limits if the friggin inbreds didn’t kill 30 at a time years ago.

  50. @RejectOneWorldGov on April 8, 2025 at 2:41 am

Not the way God intended it.
