This video was so much more enjoyable than I originally thought. Also my 89 Mallards has almost none of these features. Ah, I just now ,today, in this moment realize it’s gonna be a HARD winter for me.

One thing I’ve wondered about is snow accumulating on the slide out and roof. I live somewhere it snows 350 – 500 inches every winter and wondered about that weight building up

Thank you for the video. I do have concerns related to your recommended water hoses. The only good one I see is the NoFreeze hose, which is the most expensive According to many reviews, Camco and the rest either leak after a short period of use or present dangerous fire hazards. And, I do not believe that all 5-star ratings are truthful.

So really don’t to use a space heater that much that hit the set heated temp off and keep it from running and that means the heated underbelly is not running so gotta watch the use of the space heater right?

Run a portable propane heater in an RV?!?!? 😵This pretty, greedy young woman will still DIE with the window open.

It’s weird hearing you North Americans speaking about ‘dual pane’ windows. We call it double glazing which is easier to say.

    Excellent, informative video. Thank you.
However DO NOT run your air conditioning in winter to remove condensation, or for any other reason. The compressor is not designed to operate in cold temperatures. with low, or no head pressure, the compressor will “free wheel” and fry itself. It’s a $2,000 repair bill.

  32. @gelflingmusic9428 on December 10, 2024 at 8:38 pm

One thing you didn’t mention, best way to keep warm and prevent moisture problem is to install a wood stove.

  33. @ameliahau5927 on December 10, 2024 at 8:43 pm

Our family is considering full time rving. We are only planning to travel when we want, as we will mostly be stationary because we pastor a church and have kids in school. Our biggest worry about taking the leap is the water and sewer hook-ups in winter. This definitely helped answer most of our questions ❤

this video helped a ton. love it.

  44. @MARZ1911 on December 10, 2024 at 8:51 pm

Where did you get that propane level tool?

  45. @gman25123 on December 10, 2024 at 8:52 pm

Thanks for the tips. My wife and I are currently looking at travel trailers (Never owned one). It will be used primarily in the Northwoods. We plan to keep it on our property up there. It’s completely off grid.

I understand there will be some challenges in regards to cold weather camping however I am running into issues trying to find a brand that will be more suitable for colder weather. Most salesmen we have spoken to do not have much to say in regards to four season trailers. If anyone has reputable brands they could recommend, please let me know. Heading over to a place to look at a Cherokee Grey Wolf tomorrow morning. Thanks!!!

  46. @NadesikoRose on December 10, 2024 at 8:53 pm

Your video has been very helpful to me as I am considering buying a used RV to live in as apartments are sooo expensive to rent.
My roommate and I are parting ways so I have to be out by December or January 1rst, almost every apartment I have looked at has been out of my budget and that is if I am lucky.
I have an appointment with my banks finance officer to see if I am even eligible…..
If I get pass this hurtle then I hope to go examine the one I am thinking of getting, the owner said it has a climate shield so can be used during the winter season….but our winters here in Canada can get extremely cold some days.

  47. @MH-mb1nz on December 10, 2024 at 8:54 pm

  48. @dougferguson5581 on December 10, 2024 at 8:56 pm

Gf…get a diesel heater. Look outside the box.its half the cost. I run one and everyone wonders where my propane tank is. Lol I don’t have one.
