Cleaned 5 yesterday, definitely gonna try this, I have been using a Tru Turn hook and a liter 3 way swivel, definitely like the float

  7. @kencleg7721 on April 10, 2025 at 1:50 am

I do the same but w 20 lb 25 lb mostly I just use what’s spooled except when flow or bright lines 25 lb big game

  8. @BigPoppaSmk on April 10, 2025 at 1:51 am

  9. @helplesscaptain1 on April 10, 2025 at 1:52 am

All i do is cast a fucking worm out with basic weights and wait 2 minutes lol

  10. @jonny3801 on April 10, 2025 at 1:54 am

It’s much easier than that to tie a snell hook

  11. @strawberryflavoredbleach3215 on April 10, 2025 at 1:55 am

My float likes to float up no matter how much weight I use or how big of a piece of bait I use I try to keep tight lines but the float goes vertical and the bait wraps around the line

  12. @DanAce1 on April 10, 2025 at 1:56 am

Is fishing for catfish at night pretty much the same thing, I tried this rig but never fished at night and didn’t get a thing, maybe just wasn’t a good day? What bait do y’all use

  13. @rafaelmartinez9694 on April 10, 2025 at 1:57 am

I been fishing for over 20 years and I always use that knot but never saw someone around use it the same I do I’ve seen many ways differently though but not the way I do it till I saw this awesome great knot guys recommended 💯👌🏼

  14. @WilliamHansen-k8v on April 10, 2025 at 1:57 am

    What hook is that

  15. @richardjones2811 on April 10, 2025 at 2:00 am

    That isn’t a 3 inch peg float.

  16. @JerryJones-v1w on April 10, 2025 at 2:01 am

Yea this is basically the most basic rig ever but still good shit

  17. @FuzzyButtCheese on April 10, 2025 at 2:03 am

    You’re definitely tried pegging before.. . 😂

  18. @egregiousblunder5395 on April 10, 2025 at 2:04 am

No hate but In don’t think tat is a heavy line like 13.6 kg on a 0.56mm 😅.my opinion your best shot is heavy braidead line something like 0.40 -0.60
In depends on the brand like a berkley whiplash 0.40mm /118 kg, now depends what tipe of catfish du you have in your contry/in the pond .if the pond have like 10kg catfish than the 0.20/0.30 it shold do the job if you known there is some monsters in there play it safe
It better that losing a fish
I am from europe italy i known best we have one of the biggest spicies the wells catfish. Again no hate

  22. @hubertstrzalkowski1261 on April 10, 2025 at 2:08 am

    The only way I tie!!

  23. @blakewilson7762 on April 10, 2025 at 2:09 am

Whats special about a Snell knot? Like what is it supposed to do that a normal knot wont?

  24. @edwardsanchez1840 on April 10, 2025 at 2:09 am

What’s the barrel swivel do or what is it for ? Novice fisherman trying to learn

  25. @johanncoetzee8373 on April 10, 2025 at 2:09 am

I don’t understand the purpose of the snell knot.

  26. @CMDRkarstenvader on April 10, 2025 at 2:10 am

oh my god… HOW have I never realized that’s how you use a peg float???

  27. @Hunter556-g6g on April 10, 2025 at 2:19 am

What type and brand is that line because the Berkeley trayline said clear on it so it wasn’t that

  28. @marioleal4307 on April 10, 2025 at 2:19 am

That brand of hooks are you using

  29. @IamMakeOutHill on April 10, 2025 at 2:23 am

    I hate this line

  30. @LocLe-cx7iq on April 10, 2025 at 2:23 am

Dude were did you get a hook that welded there loop

  31. @C.BobbySaykosy_SkrmnWhiskerz on April 10, 2025 at 2:23 am

Rubber bead is the way to go right there.

  32. @HenryGengler on April 10, 2025 at 2:24 am

Just get a catfish rig at this point. 2 bucks for 2 of em and less shit to worry about

  33. @44thala49 on April 10, 2025 at 2:25 am

I asked a pro about this. He did in fact tell me that he couldn’t say anything about it because it’s a secret. He asked me who told me about it. I didn’t rat you out. Snitches get stitches.

  34. @IDouble on April 10, 2025 at 2:26 am

Not sure if you’ll see this but I have a question , why use a mono leader instead of just using 30 lbs mono on the whole reel. Does it make a big difference? Thanks

  35. @newwbein on April 10, 2025 at 2:27 am

    Does this hurt the catfish

  36. @n-tboookechuku2882 on April 10, 2025 at 2:28 am

Hey my man, will a circle hook work as well, and what hook are you using?
    Thx.

  37. @Je1lifishy2007 on April 10, 2025 at 2:29 am

What size/type of hooks should I use?

  38. @kirkout7366 on April 10, 2025 at 2:29 am

    Only two fingers?

  39. @williewonka6694 on April 10, 2025 at 2:30 am

Sorry, I stay away from mono, heavy or not.

  40. @mikesomewhere7214 on April 10, 2025 at 2:31 am

    First mistake was Trilene.

  41. @shanesmart3578 on April 10, 2025 at 2:33 am

It’s called The Santi (sand – tee) Rig. Works great on sandy and smooth lake or river bottoms.

  42. @schlomoshekelstein908 on April 10, 2025 at 2:36 am

now do it on a size 24 hook

  43. @just_fishin on April 10, 2025 at 2:37 am

What kind of hook is that?

  44. @38possum on April 10, 2025 at 2:39 am

Go through the eye and back through the eye like you came form a loop about 1/3 or little over the length of your hook, wrap it 10 times and stick your string through the eye of what’s left of your loop pull string from reel end only and it tighens and pulls the wraps tight itself.

  45. @haydenelifrits8329 on April 10, 2025 at 2:39 am

another way of tying this which in my opinion easier is just take the line through front to back of the eye then wrap the long end of your line 8 9 or 10 times around the hook then take the long end and put it through the back to front of the eye and pull tight

  46. @BushcraftingBogan on April 10, 2025 at 2:39 am

Ive always used a uni but I need a re-tie and am goung to try this one. Always good to have ab arsenal of knots.

  47. @The_Central_Inteligence_Agency on April 10, 2025 at 2:40 am

The best knot is a comback nueshook armlock made by only me

  48. @williamyeater7703 on April 10, 2025 at 2:40 am

    Waaaat

  49. @lowdown49 on April 10, 2025 at 2:42 am

That sounds like a lot of work just to catch a catfish. As a teenager, I was just simply tie a hook on with whatever knot i knew, put a weight to get my bait to the bottom and wait. Worked for me

  50. @kd5184 on April 10, 2025 at 2:45 am

What size hook is the best for catfish? I’m new to fishing
