Just started fishing. Love it. I live in the US Virgin Islands. I fish inshore on beaches and rocky shorelines. I have a Penn SPO fisher VI combo I like it.
This is Awesome! I live in Arkansas and I go fishing 2-3 times a week with success. I’m headed to California for over a month. It’ll be the first time I’ve fished in the Ocean. I appreciate the advice on not using your fresh water reels because of the salt.
I have a 7ft rod so while I’m there I’ll pick up a salt water reel. Thanks for the advice ๐
I am just getting into fishing and this video has been the best help! Thank you!
What is the name of the bate that you are using ? I didn’t get it ๐ !
Just starting my channel, 71 year old former cancer patient getting my life back on!!!!!!
How to find a good fishing spot in Melbourne, Fl ๐๐ป
Searched for a video to show me the basics, ended up with a video that showed me the basics for the exact spot I will be fishing in a weeks time. Thanks!
Thank you for this video, my girls and I are new and still learning so we really appreciate this!
Hey thank you so much for all your help
Iโm a beginner! I absolutely enjoy fishing! Last year spot fish were the fish I caught, tasted great once fried! But this year I want bigger fish. Thereโs so much info., I truly donโt know where to begin.
Florida guy here. Really getting into more fishing now. Pier, surf, and from docks. This video helped me out tremendously and I appreciate all that you do ๐
New to saltwater fishing. Great video
I don’t fish….but Im working right on the water and I decided id pick it up. this is the first video I clicked on and I am literally on the other side of that bridge watching everyone fish the inlet lol. Small world…Must be a good spot.
This was fantastic. I am about to start fishing again after a 20 year absence. Now I know I am the hunter type, not the trapper type. I would rather be active trolling for fish then waiting for a bobber. I remember always using squid on my mama’s dock. I cannot wait. Thanks for the info. By the way, what about rays? I know they were good but you had to watch out for tails, cut them off and skin the wings. But the best seafood I have ever eaten.. Any tips?
Fresh water Fisher here trying to salt water fish and failing at every point ๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ญ

Glad I found this. We recently moved to the gulf coast from the Midwest and my kids and I are beginner saltwater fishers. Excited to get going!! Thank You!!
I love your videos but here in Texas the target fish are reds and trout. Can you make a video targeting those fish?
Fishing the surf for the first time in my life tonight or tomorrow early morning I’m watching your videos to learn a thing or two. I was watching your knots vid and I want to tell you if you would please do that T knot thingy u did but slower and with more explanation and maybe animations to help me make the perfect T knot like you , thank you so much good videos BTW โค๐ช๐ฝ

Wanna-be Fisherman – "Where did you catch your fish?"ย
Fisherman – "in the lip"
Thank you! I’ve been fishing in lakes and rivers my whole life. Just recently moved next to the ocean and I really want to learn ocean fishing, but not rich enough for a boat. Greatly appreciate it!
Yo… This channel is pretty sick guys…. I have been looking at getting into fishing for so long now… My wife and I moved to the west coast of South Africa Bout 4 yrs ago, thats about how long I have been wanting to, but just never get into because I am probably just overwhelmed with all the different aspects and options of setting up a good rod and rig, and when you get to your local fishing store its like the guys are just trying to sell you everything coz your still dumb…. Where do I start? I have a lot of beachy soft long shallow beaches, and a lot of pinasula like rocky spots all within a 20 mile radius.
Im not from the usa im actually from southern Africa but i love your channel not a day goes by without me watching your channel.. Keep it up
Great fishing rod, always low prices!
What’s the best fishing rig for kids about 5 to 10 in the saltwater those little princess or marvel fishing rods look too weak any suggestions thanks
Hi I am a beginner to fishing with no experience with rod. How to choose a rod and reel. I don’t want invest more money purchasing high quality branded rod and reel and break it without proper use and mishandling without proper experience in that. As a beginner with no experience at all in fishing rod and reel what would you suggest to be a good fisherman for beginners
Thanks bro
Good information
Ty
Is it right that the salt water fishing is better in the winter than the summer or its a myth
I like to help my name is josh I love caughting scups
I’d recommend fishing from a pier. You don’t need a fishing license and the sabiki rig shown here could be dropped straight down preferably close to the pilings. You’re bound to catch a lot of small perch and mackerel.
You can then hook up small mackerel to cast out and catch a large variety of bigger fishes.
Many people may not want to spend or don’t have the money for the rig he has. I’m guessing the total cost for his rod and reel is around 600 dollars.
You can get an Ugly Stix big water rod for around 70 dollars and a lower cost (50 to 100 dollar) excellent reel from Shimano, Daiwa, and Okuma. I recently got a Runcl Titan all metal spinning reel for less than 60 dollars that is extremely smooth, casts well, and has 5 carbon fibers washers that provide an amazing 44 pounds of drag.
The vid was loaded in Sep 16, 2016 and I am watching it in 2022 July!! keep it up bud
How do u fight big fish when to reel if they run
Are you in mobile
Sorry Gone Fishing!
thank you for this
Much appreciated ๐ 6 months into fishing and still figuring out the basics. Loving it โค
I look at all your videos n it helps me a lot
What kind of lb test is good for beach fishing? Iโd like to catch bigger fish, not necessarily looking for monsters just something to take home to the dinner table for good eating. Maybe bluefish?
Do you have any videos for surf fishing using baitcaster for beginner "saltwater"?
I didn’t try baitcaster that’s why I want try it.
I have just bought my first rod, reel and other necessary fishing gear. You have inspired me by making things simple and step-by-step. Wish me luck!! Hope to catch at least one fish!! ๐
I just realised that being a fisherman means being a jerk. A jerk waiting for another jerk lol
