Also, to those who hate the ugly straps that come default with ecollars, definitely look in to buying a lupine collar strap for the dog. They look like regular collars but release from two ends. It’s great and it disguises my ecollar from nosy "animal rights" activists.
Great educational video! Started my first training session today with my stubborn dog that WOULD NOT walk next to me off leash. I started at 1 on all settings and only had to use the vibrate setting the whole time! I used individual pieces of kibble as positive reinforcement. Started on leash and he was so good that I took him off leash. He stayed next to me the whole walk and even stopped to wait for me if he walked too far ahead. So proud of my good boy! The collar was only $25
Regardless of the effectiveness of a shock collar, the reality is the same training can be done with positive reinforcement as opposed to negative reinforcement. Even if you use one of these collars responsibly, the fact of the matter is many individuals misuse these collars, even in performance communities (that you referenced witnessing yourself many times). So until collars are designed with a "5" being the strength of a 12V battery I will not support this practice and find it reprehensible, even when used responsibly.

Can anyone tell me how fast the correction happens after you push the button, whether it be audible, shock, or vibration. I bought a cheap collar that had a really long delay in correction and it was an absolute disaster. My dog was really confused most of the time because the correction came way after the undesirable behavior.
I don’t use shock collars but he’s right the guy in the video….
I love the SportDog brand. I use the 425x. I turn the receiver to the "low" setting and use stim level 2 with the lowest level on the remote.
