um… actually the guy in the suit of armor would not have been hurt. It’s simple physics. Energy always takes the most efficient path and because metal is a better conductor then a human body, the electrons will pass through the armor never touching the guy. This is called Faraday’s cage. On the other hand, if you were holding metal that wasn’t also touching the ground, the energy would pass through you to get to the ground, giving you serious and sometimes fatal injuries.
