lol ok hahaha have you been to Canada lol you will be cold at night and if the mosquitoes don’t drive you crazy as the sun is about to set the grizzlies who come to inspect your camp as you sleep under that nice umbrella !!!!! lol 😂 well have a nice trip I hope you have fresh batteries in that sos 🆘 beacon lol I think your going to need it lol !!!! Just one more thing lol !!!! Bring bear spray some bears like Mexican tacos 🌮 lol
You need a knife, batteries, tent or tarp, extra socks, water purification, more then one way to start a fire (best to keep 3- 1 in the pack as you have, 1 in that pouch around your waist, and 1 on you personally) this is all just to start. I have been on that trail and many others. Spent many years in the outdoors and I’m a combat vet that taught survival training to others. After the military I also went on to still teach outside the military. Stay safe oh bear spray lol
Boy oh boy these posts really highlight the challenges of Sharing specialized information for a generalized audience, or even worse, an audience where some people know some stuff. Have no expert but I’ve done some ultralight travel and have been in the outdoor space for let’s say three decades so here are my completely unsolicited observations 😂: ultralight backpacking is hardly a fad, but started ages ago arguably with Ray jardine, and when an adventurous and experimental group of people test something out and it works it will eventually get more and more popular. That is a good thing. For folks who are upset that she doesn’t have a Bowie knife and a gun and PVC rain gear and a big ass MSR hand pump water filter or whatever people think they’re supposed to be taking backpacking, I have participated in numerous rescues both on my own climbing trips of other parties and in a professional capacity, and in general the ultralight crowd or not the ones getting rescued. It’s generally the folks who lack some combination of fitness, judgment and skill. Arguably one of the biggest determinants of safety is being able to move quickly and make good decisions. Plenty of chads out there carrying 50 lb packs get rescued😂 I mean of course do whatever you like but it is remarkable how many people feel compelled to tell her she’s doing it wrong.
Food???
Hope you bring ear buds. I loved having those. Also you probably won’t need the pack cover till Washington
You forgot your fire proof clothes too.
Socal is the equivalent to walking through hell’s weather
Please make another gear video when you finish the trail.
She’s gonna hunt for her food along the way . . . .

What shoes are you wearing?
No solar recharge, no tent, no med kit, no cold weather gear! Good luck.
Food? Shelter? Bear vault?
What type of zipper bags do you have? They look pretty stable.
Love the brolli ! serious would go on extended over night w/on 1. If i could be in a survival situation w/ 1 piece of gear would be a brolli.

What could possibly go wrong 🤦🏻♂️
You’ll ditch the lantern and most of your FA kit and toiletries in the first week. Other than that, almost exactly the same gear as 2015
Sleeping bag, any warm clothing?
What for bears?
Why plastic bottles? I recommend no water at all.
I’d suggest more sun gear. Mt friend did the PCT and got so dark from being burnt even eith a coolibar spf hat and clothing kn.
great job and good luck
Put a bandana under the fuel at the bottom of your cup.
Where is your husband?
What is the total weight of your gear?
You will get rid of most of that crap within the first 150 miles😅❤
Weight? You forgot food… water and food 20lbs alone
Not real. Seriously this is not what you would take. 😂😂😂
No shelter at all ?
Joe n terry were the best trail angels!! ‘03 hiker here
What are you going to eat? What food items will you pack?
you’re missing a lot of stuff…..
It would be even MORE ultralight and much more PLAUSIABLE if you stayed at home doing youtube vids and sent the backpack to trail on its own…
Skip most of the trail until you hit the JMT. The desert is incredibly boring. Make sure you stop at VVR and Reds.
Are those regular doors?? That’s a tall lady
Need a knife fox blade esee 4 would be good
Hope you brought more than one lighter

Where’s your food and the electricity for the battery? Or does it last 2000 miles?
Not even a living? OR cover?
I always carry double lighters. You know what they say, two is one and one is none!

No food.
No gun!
Less is always more
I use watercolor pencils, but I love the idea of a refillable water brush pen!
The brand is General’s Kimberly.
Omg take it down…
You’ve def put a lot of thought into your gear, nice set up!
Duct tape. Good for repairs. Good over a piece of gauze for blisters if you have sweaty, SWEATY feet. Have fun!
did you made it alive?
Well did you make it?
we should abolish the phrase ‘poop kit’
