Coho please
Coho is better off the grill, hot smoked I take the sockeye all day every day. Silvers are more fun to catch in my opinion
Is there a taste difference between the colors?
I’ve sure you’ve seen it too, but some silvers are nearly the same color as reds once they’re cooked. They’re usually a little deeper orange when freshly caught. It’s impossible to tell once they’re frozen because everything goes same shade of pale orange so sometimes i’ll mark those nicer coho packages with a marker… no big deal for me, but if i’m giving away a few packages to friends, i’ll pick out the nicer looking pieces
