Donโ€™t get me wrong, Acadia national park is filled with SO much but these lesser known gems have some magic of their own thatโ€™s worth exploring, especially if youโ€™ve seen Acadia!

Sand Beach Stonington, ME – not to be confused with sand beach in Bar Harbor – this is the less crowded, more tranquil cousin ๐Ÿ–๏ธ

Deer Isle Island, ME – this island holds so many gems (including whatโ€™s on this list). Iโ€™d highly recommend getting dinner in Stonington, ME, hiking through Crocker cove woods preserve, and getting ice cream at the Stonington Ice Cream Company.

Caterpillar Hill Overlook Sedgwick, ME – this overlook is accessible right from the road. Filled with wild flowers and overseeing both ocean and mountains itโ€™s absolutely magical ๐ŸŒ…

Barred Island Preserve Trail – this is more of a walk over tree rooted mossy trails(2.6mi). It looks like a magical forest and ends overlooking the water!

If youโ€™ve done Acadia, these gems are worth adding onto your Maine list ๐Ÿ’Ž
