Joe, I would really love to see a video of you shooting a traditional recurve bow and see how that matches up with your accuracy with a compound.

  2. @jfoster851 on December 21, 2024 at 1:00 am

Some of my favorite shots were the ones not taken.

  3. @whatsagoodname8597 on December 21, 2024 at 1:01 am

hard point is, use a traditional bow. have some class. no matter if you miss atleast your out there till you land something.

    45lbs for a 10yr old?

  5. @michaelhellwarth9357 on December 21, 2024 at 1:05 am

The guest I would like to see the most on Joe Rogan is Bo Jackson, who is probably one of the greatest athletes of all time. His hobby is bow hunting, and he even makes his own arrows. I would just love to see Bo Jackson on Joe Rogan.

  6. @KeepinYouUp07 on December 21, 2024 at 1:07 am

I missed a big ole doe right in front of me with my hoyt this season. I blame the bow.

  7. @randy7418 on December 21, 2024 at 1:08 am

Man it’s crazy how popular bow hunting has become. I started bow hunting back in the days. The overdraw shooting era. The pse. Bow tech and Matthew’s wow. I’m 54 and I hunt with my rifle. My bow has been collecting dust. Bow hunting is definitely a lot harder. Blind hunting for hours or sitting in a tree?? Not for my old injuries lol. Plus I can cover more acreage with my 4×4.😅😅😅

  8. @bjhall3394 on December 21, 2024 at 1:10 am

Traditional archery yes is hard compound not so much

  9. @sgt1terrence on December 21, 2024 at 1:11 am

joe killed a small buck and a handful of elk using guides. Turned down Steve Rinella’s badass hunt because joe and bryan callen were cold🤣 That’s a hunt for a lifetime..joe would 100% turn down liver..he doubted David Choe..

calling out joe to do what Liver King and David Choe did. He may know a spinning side kick but you can’t perform that on a bear or any large sized creature.

  10. @estesmountainboy on December 21, 2024 at 1:12 am

Would love to hear Joe try traditional archery, as that’s my path, and talk about the difficulty of trying something older and more involved. I’d imagine many others, like myself, enjoy traditional archery, but probably not as popular as compound and crossbow hunting.

  11. @Greg-l8r on December 21, 2024 at 1:12 am

45 yards is too far for an amateur

  12. @MattMacKo on December 21, 2024 at 1:14 am

I’ve had target panic. Or buck fever. Talking through it is money. I do the same with deadlifts

  13. @brendanaber5525 on December 21, 2024 at 1:15 am

Ive been bow hunting for 12 years im 25 when i have an animal come in i just grab my bow draw back and shoot with out even thinking thats why you practice like any other sport so your at peak performance at that moment its always worked for me.

  14. @Johnny_Shears on December 21, 2024 at 1:15 am

You guys will never know what hunting is, real hunting is putting a knife on your mouth and jump in the back of the animal! That’s how my ancestors did it and that’s how I make my cheeseburgers today

  15. @donfrance3 on December 21, 2024 at 1:16 am

archery is the life, especially if you appreciate rocky mountain time with September elk
. good intro talk of back tension shooting surprise process vs. index trigger mental anticipation (ie. target panic)

  16. @nates2914 on December 21, 2024 at 1:17 am

Don’t like him. Not a fan. He wasted Joe’s time. And mine.

  17. @joeymcdowell7535 on December 21, 2024 at 1:17 am

Even with a crossbow i hate target panic

  18. @kcstott on December 21, 2024 at 1:19 am

That same focus on the fundamentals is applicable to rifle hunting too. Too many people get target fever and goose a shot. and all the see is their animal walking or bolting away un harmed. or worse wounded with a poor shot.

  19. @db3467 on December 21, 2024 at 1:19 am

Call ted nugent he’s the master at bow hunting

  20. @jeremypaluck4246 on December 21, 2024 at 1:20 am

If you think that’s amazing, do it with a traditional bow only using the wild terrain!
Bow hunting is so much fun.
Hope my left elbow heals one day haha

  22. @brianconlogue1302 on December 21, 2024 at 1:22 am

Man I want to hunt with Joe so bad!

  23. @donnellaapperson480 on December 21, 2024 at 1:25 am

Personally myself I don’t get buck fever like most until after I drop my critter! But my brother is a shaking fool with the buck fever prior to the kill!

  24. @calebscott1175 on December 21, 2024 at 1:26 am

The mental side of bow hunting is so hard to discribe to people, not only the intensity of the shot, but the planning and decisions you make to pick where your going to hunt, setting up here or moving 15 yards closer and risking being busted. Playing the wind, it goes on and on

  25. @mitchy3438 on December 21, 2024 at 1:26 am

    Surprise release is key!

  29. @michaelannecelli6129 on December 21, 2024 at 1:31 am

Sandro de Cristal bells in northern New Mexico are some of the best for hunting-–

  30. @apmm4209 on December 21, 2024 at 1:32 am

This guy totally disregarded every piece of advice Joe gave him.

  31. @peter486 on December 21, 2024 at 1:32 am

Bow Hunting should be Banned. , as a hunter myself we sometimes come across Animals that has real nasty Injures. and they suffered for a very long time. Bow hunting is not 100% kill shots. anyone that kills animals like that is a rat. Its not realy that they need food they shot because its a sport for them its pretty sicking if you think about it. I got Zero respect for people like that. Regardless who they are.

  32. @1990hondacivic on December 21, 2024 at 1:33 am

Man rich people have all the resources with hunting, I haven’t done elk or anything else, I’ve only done white tail deer and even then it’s pretty difficult, lots of planning, food plots and tracking go into it as well but I couldn’t imagine traversing miles and tracking an elk only to have to drag it after you kill it

  33. @rabbithomesteading3797 on December 21, 2024 at 1:33 am

I heard Ted nugent saying his bow is 47 pound. And shoots everything at that. strong enough and easier and still works

  34. @lu1s34 on December 21, 2024 at 1:34 am

    Who is this guy?

  35. @baz3184 on December 21, 2024 at 1:35 am

Looking at hunting pigs at the end of the year. Thinking of shooting my 60lbs longbow. Anything around 20 yards is dead 95% of the time on 3d so probably 50/50 irl 😂

  36. @WizAquila on December 21, 2024 at 1:37 am

I’ve never read a cringier or more gatekeeping comment section in my life. So much coping and seething lol.

    Bow hunting is the best!!!

  40. @Tiger42s on December 21, 2024 at 1:41 am

    Bow hunting is hard asf

  41. @nickibradbeer2815 on December 21, 2024 at 1:42 am

Humans complicate things way to much in this day and age. Just get a bow and go out killing with it. Simple. Years ago they didnt have time to worry about the correct way to shoot and target panic. I cant see you having target panic when its your food lol

  42. @madtownangler on December 21, 2024 at 1:44 am

It’s fuñny because if you wait until the last season a lot of times the elk will come down our of the mountains into the lowlands where there is grass and you can’t just hunt them from a blind like white tail if you are at a working ranch. This is rifle hunting. I have crashed a mountain bike among a bunch of elk at the ski resort next door and they didn’t run away to assuming it’s pretty easy to. Should try whitetail where they run if you smell different.

  43. @mark929rr5 on December 21, 2024 at 1:44 am

45 lbs at the age of 10?

  44. @fabiomejia2260 on December 21, 2024 at 1:47 am

As a bow hunter I always say: this arrow will connect to me and I to it, to kill without doubt and feed my fam

  45. @joppo6997 on December 21, 2024 at 1:47 am

    Joe the expert!

  46. @frogmanjump1222 on December 21, 2024 at 1:47 am

I shoot them every year. Its not hard at all. You just succ at it

  47. @dominic123454 on December 21, 2024 at 1:53 am

I like Rogan but he way overblows archery difficulty. It’s a great shooting sport and everything. Easy beginning difficulty so everyone can get in and hard to master, but is nowhere near as difficult as international skeet shooting. Level of skill practice and focus isn’t really on the same planet. It never gets talked about. Even hunting grouse with leaves still on in deep forest is much harder then almost any big game archery shot

  48. @EludeStalwart on December 21, 2024 at 1:54 am

If not, let down and get your shit together. 🎯

  49. @dodger1x on December 21, 2024 at 1:55 am

Joe rogan should try JoergSprave`s instant legolas bow 🙂

I could be wrong, but based on this small clip he sounds like a giant jackass
