There is a huge gap in the market for OFF GRID LIFE. I’m so tired of water bottle showers or bucket showers. This is extremely helpful for me living in San Diego’s high desert. It’s a relief on many levels especially considering the Summer heat. If you have any ideas on cooling let me know! Our small Arctic Chill “swamp cooler” attracted an ant colony so it wasn’t practical. I do have a small solar setup but the batteries struggle in the heat to keep a charge. Thusly, my fans are of no use… it’s about to be 114° and I need help. Lol.

I’ve been looking at expensive gas heater systems which have pumps and pipes everywhere. Then I stumble across this and it’s so damn simple and cheap. Thank you.

and nozzle you mentioned in the video no delivery for that one but found another nozzle:

So, how long before you have to re-pump it? Can you actually get some real showering/dishes done or are you constantly pumping it?

Hello AVM. I’ve now watched eight youtube videos on camp shower systems and I like yours best; it’s the best Bang for Buck. Thanks for sharing it.

Hi, Brian. Great video and looks very simple. What do you think of using a coiled polyurethane air hose (like this one: https://www.harborfreight.com/14-in-x-25-ft-coiled-polyurethane-air-hose-61974.html) instead of the faucet hose? I"m thinking of cutting the hose on the sprayer shorter and that the coiled hose might make storage easier. It would probably take a double 1/4 inch barb to attach the two hoses and a 1/4 inch barb to male threaded fitting to attach the sprayer. Thanks! — Cody

Preparing for hurricane Dorian. I’m sure we’ll lose power which means we will have no water. I believe this will work great for a shower!!

I just did this for mountain bike trips. Also painted it flat black to take advantage of solar heating while out riding.

Will a shower hose with a bidet sprayer also work? and do you know if I can buy the gold color connector on ebay?

  41. Caroline Rose on September 16, 2019 at 7:11 pm

I went to Home Depot today to try to buy the parts, but they didn’t have them. It looks like they’ve switched to Danco brand and neither the sprayer or the hose fittings are the same. They also didn’t have any of the brass 1/4" barbed – 1/4" MIP fittings either. Same story over at Lowe’s. However, I was able to find a hose with sprayer attached at Walmart for $10.97 and they had the same sprayer as the Home Depot model for about $2. less ($12.86). Hopefully some hardware store will have the brass fitting!
