  5. @LukasMakauskas-nd2si on April 5, 2025 at 1:44 am

What did you use to create the sparks?

  6. @johnnycasteel7 on April 5, 2025 at 1:45 am

You 100% started the California wildfires 😂😂😂

  7. @ArrowAndSatchelOutdoors on April 5, 2025 at 1:50 am

Great video, but you should use the spine of the knife and not the blade to scrape the ferro rod.

  8. @stephengopalan1956 on April 5, 2025 at 1:50 am

    Good 👍

  9. @SophiaMarshall-zy6ij on April 5, 2025 at 1:50 am

    😂

  10. @dougantonucci8278 on April 5, 2025 at 1:50 am

Well, if you built it the right way with dirt between the logs. That needed to be way closer together. That fire would last all night.
    Yours, not so much.

  11. @albru521 on April 5, 2025 at 1:50 am

  14. @jasonhart9880 on April 5, 2025 at 1:57 am

  15. @jamiehurtt3530 on April 5, 2025 at 1:57 am

So sll i need is to carry a long straw when in the woods

  16. @willdenoble1898 on April 5, 2025 at 1:58 am

Works even better if you place the flat sides up and with as little space as possible. This way the coals do t fall to the lower levels as quickly. Also you can put wet wood on the bottom two layers to dry em out by the time the coals reach them.

  17. @theoff-gridguru on April 5, 2025 at 1:59 am

If you’re out in the woods and you only have an axe, how do you get your logs cut so straight?

  18. @ВладЯкимов-и2т on April 5, 2025 at 1:59 am

    А чем поджёг?

  19. @midaz_ytb6287 on April 5, 2025 at 2:00 am

Can u tell me what u r blowin in like the long thing whats the name of it?

  20. @thomasmiller5943 on April 5, 2025 at 2:01 am

Tried it once and it totally worked great! I use my wood stove more than anything now.
The cooking surface is nice, it’s safer, no smoke in the gear or eyes, and no popping embers. It’s nice to adjust the airflow too and slow burn.

  21. @lreismann9180 on April 5, 2025 at 2:01 am

I really liked the part where he explained what makes this setup so long lasting.

  22. @Benjam901 on April 5, 2025 at 2:02 am

Ive tried the upside down fire so many times and I can NEVER get it to work xD

  23. @TurinJawn on April 5, 2025 at 2:03 am

What was he blowing it with

  27. @billsalcido7878 on April 5, 2025 at 2:09 am

three logs is usually the minimum just to get a bed of embers going. good concept but poor example

  28. @horstnietzsche1923 on April 5, 2025 at 2:11 am

    Decent for sure.

  29. @shawndx100 on April 5, 2025 at 2:12 am

  30. @samiam830 on April 5, 2025 at 2:13 am

I’ve tried this and it works like shit. You’re supposed to put the soft small stuff on the bottom of the fire, then slowly make the fire bigger by adding larger stuff to the top. When the small stuff burns, it heats up the large stuff which keeps it going.

  31. @9secondsago on April 5, 2025 at 2:14 am

Still burns in 30 minutes. Done it a million times 😂

  32. @MMrNiiceeguy on April 5, 2025 at 2:15 am

That’s a good way to start a forest fire with all that dry oily tinder. Maybe you know better and how to prevent it but some dumbass is gonna light A forest fire

  33. @asst.pastortiwanabernathy3043 on April 5, 2025 at 2:17 am

    Great video

  34. @Alex-eo9of on April 5, 2025 at 2:18 am

    Works great with 0mph wind

  35. @suecook8087 on April 5, 2025 at 2:18 am

For anybody that doesn’t know a pine tree will go up in flames in a split second. Please do not put fires under pine trees where the embers can catch.

  36. @thewanderrer96 on April 5, 2025 at 2:20 am

That’s far from long lasting but looks nice and cozy enough to make me go camping again!

  37. @FreedomMountianSurvival on April 5, 2025 at 2:21 am

Good luck doing that in the rain

  38. @ItzBagel2 on April 5, 2025 at 2:21 am

what is that thing you use to blow the fire with man

  39. @sergeitabaniag3692 on April 5, 2025 at 2:22 am

DID HE JUST USE THE EDGE OF THAT KNIFE TO STRIKE A FERRO ROD?!

  40. @shawndx100 on April 5, 2025 at 2:23 am

    *BONFIRE LIT*

  43. @samiam830 on April 5, 2025 at 2:26 am

And I found this only works with seasoned wood. Not everybody so fortunate.

  44. @alexandercharter5139 on April 5, 2025 at 2:27 am

Thats a poephol method. Maybe good for lots of smoke in your eyes and clothing.

  45. @angelathompson9047 on April 5, 2025 at 2:31 am

Hay I am confused as to why you dont make the fire reversed. The small stuff underneath of all of that.

  46. @vijayapatil3516 on April 5, 2025 at 2:32 am

    Thank you

  47. @StevieDahlen on April 5, 2025 at 2:33 am
