What amazes me is that tiny scalpel blade can disassemble an absolute unit.

  11. @faronsteele8754 on August 9, 2025 at 1:30 pm

Shame on you if you leave all that rib and neck meat!

  15. @kennycoye3907 on August 9, 2025 at 1:36 pm

What a waste! If they spent more time "Caping" and boning the whole bull out, the video would be the same length! Where is the sense of time?? We all spend Hrs, days, Months. Preparing, buying, taking time off, or whatever to do this, yet you cant spend an extra 15 mins to get some awesome burger meat…about 10 lbs, off the bull. Not a clue! What a waste! I wish all states were like AK and you cant leave an ounce on it! Im lost!

What an anoying photography. It makes you unease looking at the process.

The front leg avoid the dirt trick is smart. Adding to cranium hard drive*

  19. @thomasoconnor9254 on August 9, 2025 at 1:39 pm

What a waste of a perfectly good hide.

  20. @riyazahamad948 on August 9, 2025 at 1:40 pm

Lot of wastage I know they can’t carry but they should hunt according to capacity

  21. @EarlFlores-r4u on August 9, 2025 at 1:40 pm

The people of Tinian are going to make you guys look like kids. Also, your knives you are using are garbage. You Americans think you can technically teach the world 🌎 you’re useless teaching, yet you don’t know the best parts of the animals. The Indians are even better than you.

Ok but growing up and grandfather running a slaughter house and raising cattle sheep hogs you take everything- working ranch you take everything – if you process and cook you know better

  24. @bradwillis6457 on August 9, 2025 at 1:42 pm

What kind of knife are these guys using?

  25. @ridgewalker2416 on August 9, 2025 at 1:43 pm

A team of guys is so much easier than doing it by yourself! I’ve been fortunate to harvest 17 elk of which maybe 10 I was alone for dressing and packing out. At 78 yo and 150 lbs, not likely to be able to do it again.
    Good video! Thanks!

  26. @ProdigyMusicBeats on August 9, 2025 at 1:43 pm

What kind of knife is he using? Anyone know?

  34. @johnsherman7692 on August 9, 2025 at 1:54 pm

What knife are you using? or do you recommend?

  35. @Jc-bo1uu on August 9, 2025 at 1:55 pm

Shouldn’t you let it bleed out first? I’m new at this that’s why I’m asking.

  36. @joeherbert3590 on August 9, 2025 at 1:56 pm

    Thanks.

  37. @emonsahariar9292 on August 9, 2025 at 2:01 pm

Why don’t just they give it a wash before?

  38. @bluesky5542 on August 9, 2025 at 2:02 pm

You got hung up a few times with your boots and the meat. And with your gloves, you touched the dirty hide and then the meat again. I don’t know if that is right ? You guys still have to learn. 😢

  39. @paulblackburn4369 on August 9, 2025 at 2:05 pm

Better with pack mules and a couple double diamonds XX

  40. @GrimmGreen on August 9, 2025 at 2:07 pm

This is rad, I went to highschool with David and his sister. David was always nice to me, despite me being burn out. And now he taught me how to clean an elk.

  41. @rleslie4458 on August 9, 2025 at 2:09 pm

I always go into the rib cavity for the tenderloin and heart. The tenderloin is, well, the tenderloin. The heart, I pickle. I also take the belly muscle for summer sausage.

  42. @RussellSSmith on August 9, 2025 at 2:09 pm

You learn something everyday if you just watch and listen. Thanks guys…

  43. @willpatterson8132 on August 9, 2025 at 2:09 pm

Guess the taxidermy guy needs all that back strap meat too lol

  44. @JVR-gd7zw on August 9, 2025 at 2:12 pm

I like to leave backstrap on front shoulder. It helps with even weight packs.

  45. @YourAashique on August 9, 2025 at 2:13 pm

Where you filmed this video? 14th December 2024.

  48. @mindaugassavela3597 on August 9, 2025 at 2:15 pm

I often see the gutless method, more so than removing the guts nowadays. But not many videos show whether anyone takes the rest of the meat like the brisket, all the neck meat (lots of meat when cutting off the head was still on the neck). Is this because "you don’t have to take that" or they just don’t show it? Does anyone take elk ribs at all? I know they’re not great but still lots you can do with I imagine.

I’m fairly new to hunting and have not yet hunted an elk so I’m learning here 🙂

  49. @dieselt1900 on August 9, 2025 at 2:17 pm

What brand of knife were they using? I need to buy a set please, awesome video.

  50. @rosebloodstone on August 9, 2025 at 2:17 pm

I can’t believe you can cut off a whole leg with no blood
