super helpful vid my guy. My friend had one when I visited and was completely lost when I was trying to figure out which model would work best for me.

Hey man. Awesome Video. I just want to know which jacket you are wearing. Its looks really good🤙

  12. @eksemos on January 29, 2025 at 10:03 pm

Is there a single model Jet Boil you’d recommend as a "do-it-all" for backpacking, hunting and hiking alike? Maybe one that would be very capable of serving a family of three, light enough to carry, quick to bring water to a boil (and maybe cook small meals), without taking too much space in a backpack.. I have NO experience with these, so your opinion would mean a lot to me. Thanks for the review and your opinion based on experience.

    MiniMo & Flash 2.0

  15. @PeaceMastah on January 29, 2025 at 10:06 pm

None of the above. Msr or maple. Jetboils are overhyped and waaay overpriced.

  16. @Saltfly on January 29, 2025 at 10:08 pm

Don’t know about these stoves, but the genesis is trash.

  17. @fettuccinealraver on January 29, 2025 at 10:08 pm

This was helpful to see if the minimo would be worth upgrading to from the flash. Thank you!

    Great review . Very helpful

  24. @davt8615 on January 29, 2025 at 10:15 pm

Got the Flash, minimo and zip and the mighty mo, didn’t bother with a stash as the stove isn’t upto much, your better of with a soto windmaster
You can interchange the burners and pots to I sometimes pair the minimo burner with flash pot 👍

  25. @650tonyd on January 29, 2025 at 10:16 pm

REI has this MiniMo on sale for $115

  26. @sharingtheadventure on January 29, 2025 at 10:16 pm

The best jet boil you can buy is the MSR Windburner. Just sayin.

  27. @Thefoxsaiddingding on January 29, 2025 at 10:17 pm

Where does the mightymo fall under these?

  28. @dtag30 on January 29, 2025 at 10:20 pm

Great video, ty. I’m going to get a MiniMo after your explanation.

  30. @mtadams2009 on January 29, 2025 at 10:22 pm

For real backpacking they are way to heavy. If you hike a few miles and make camp I suppose they are fine. I rarely see anyone who actually backpacking using them.

  31. @michaelfrymus on January 29, 2025 at 10:23 pm

I have the Jetboil Minimo, but being a 1L, I don’t know if this isn’t too small for 2+ppl.
Id say a 1.5L would be more ideal for cooking meals, and not just for boiling water.
Looking for a good setup for backpacking

  32. @felixcat9318 on January 29, 2025 at 10:25 pm

I have two vehicle emergency kits, and each one has a JetBoil Classic plus the JetBoil 1.5 litre Cookpot.

If out walking and simply wanting some tea, I take my JetBoil Sol-Ti or if accompanied I bring my JetBoil Sol-Ti Sumo stove (I may also bring the Sol-Ti if there’s a group).

For trips, my JetBoil Minimo and JetBoil FryPan are my preferred choice, something that I can properly cook on, and actually simmer!

My trips involve a folding bicycle and a Packraft, so I’m not carrying stuff on my back so the heavy JetBoil Fry Pan isn’t a problem.

I have ultralight camping ovens but must convert my stove to a remote cannister configuration to use them, this is very easy and inexpensive to do and simple and quick to reverse.!

Jetboil marketing is amazing. They sell these based on speed of boil and fuel efficiency. If i’m relaxing in the countryside i can wait an extra 30s to boil water – i’m not in a rush. And the fuel canisters have 20 boils so why do i need fuel efficiency. I’m not hiking 10 days with no resupply – so fuel efficiency is pretty useless. I’m not saving money on fuel because the jetboil is so expensive. For car camping i use real pots and pans from home on a 2 burner stove or cast iron in the fire. For hiking i want a lightweight toaks mug that can boil water for rehydrating food and coffees. I would only maybe use a jetboil for if i was on a roadtrip and wanted a cup of coffee on the way – even then i would probably stop at a cafe. Dunno – i cant see me using these

  34. @TerryTackett-g5e on January 29, 2025 at 10:30 pm

I had to get the pot support separately

  35. @johnbecay6887 on January 29, 2025 at 10:31 pm

    are jetboil fuel canisters refillable?

  37. @The_Unobtainium on January 29, 2025 at 10:32 pm

The answer is: forget about Jetboil. Buy Fire Maple. Why buying overpriced equipment? AFAIK Jetboil "borrowed" concept from another company so Fire Maple did…

Very useful review and comparison, thanks so much, going for the Minimo as my first Jetboil. Btw how’d Jetboil catch fire? I seriously wanna know so that I’m cautious lol…

  42. @ek8652 on January 29, 2025 at 10:45 pm

I was trying to decide myself between all four of those. Ended up with the Flash. Got it for $66 new. Works great so far.

  43. @joeponder9668 on January 29, 2025 at 10:45 pm

Awesome for the review, exactly what I was looking for! Leaving Florida in a little over a month to do Rocky Mountain Race Week If’n you’ve ever heard of it. Anyhow it’s an 8 day race in Colorado and I’ll be car camping in my Impreza WRX the whole trip. The Minimo is the one for me I reckon! Thank again Chris!!
