Homemade DIY Ute (Truck) canopy camper with buit in rooftop tent
Homemade DIY Ute (Truck) canopy camper with buit in rooftop tent
A tour around a Ute canopy I’ve made at home with a built in rooftop tent that folds out of the canopy roof.
I made this so we would have something quick and easy to take camping.
I encourage having a go and doing these sort of things yourself, even if it doesn’t turn out to look professional you will learn heaps!
I love things which fold out! Great work. So tidy and functional.
Very good job. Congrats
Like it! Similar to a Flippac. What type of hinge do you use to allow the roof to swing over and become the floor of the sleeping compartment? It will have the weight of two adults and one child in it yet it seems to hang over the cab with no support. The Flippac uses a torsion bar to achieve that effect. How did you do it?
I think that you can soften aluminum by putting soot on it and then heating it enough to burn off the soot.
Love it very simple, no loads of bs
Outstanding job! I like your design. You have a beautiful family. Greetings from the Caribbean.
From one dad to another make sher those Matt’s aren’t the poison recalled cancer causing kids Matt’s that I had for my kid!
How does the tent go in tropical conditions/heavy rain?
Hey man, good on you it looks super light and airy and easy to open and pack. Impressed!
i want to know the equipments used in drop down tv in detail pls boss
Wonderful job done it was ur first time but still its better than a Chinese product keep learning and let others learn from ur work
very talented
Very very interesting.. I wanted to make a streamline sloping down bed cover but now I realize, thanks to you that I can flip that over the cab with maybe support poles on the front bumper… Thank you for neat unit.
Awesome and inspiring
That is absolutely genius!
Nice job mate and your little bloke is a champ!
Epic, well done
Amazing work
What a adorable baby..great job my friend
Nicely done and I don’t mean to take anything away from that, it has certainly been nicely put together, but the design…
Whilst you’ve got lots of ‘living space’ you’re very limited on ‘storage space’. Like, where do you store the mattress, or where’s the kitchen? Because you need to climb into the alum box, the use of that floor space must be kept clear when the top is popped and used.
Good job, you shoud start your own business. Love the toddler.
Very creative.
Putting a clear plastic hatch to the cabin from the bed would really make it cool. what does it weigh
Hey Ben JOHANSON I think you did a marvelous job hooking up that mobile tent , plus you have a beautiful family together share that tent with and I wish you millions of miles. If I had a truck like yours I’d copy your invention lol thank you for sharing your video . I’m a new subscriber and I’ll be following you so keep sharing videos. Oh yeah and I’m from America ,NYC the Bronx. Peace, love and respect to you and your family.
