Appreciate the no-nonsense to the point comparison…I also think that having both, which is reasonable, will cover most situations and you can use what is best for the given situation.

No Contest on which is better. It’s the hammock hands down and comfort high. Do your self a favor with the hammock , get a double bottom one. The double bottom stops mosquitos from snacking on your backside during the night as you get the most restful sleep you ever had. I have camped in both , started with the tent and traded it for a hammock and been with hammocks ever since over the last 60 plus years. I still use a tent when there is no other choice.
I think it depends on situations. For me in the most situations hammock is better

My first choice is always a hammock. But I will pack a tent when I know that will be my best option. A sleeping pad comes with me no matter what. I dont have an under quilt, but the sleeping pad helps mitigate the CBS.😊
