So I was making this, and after adding the milk, spices and piloncillo, I put my dementia-ridden grandma’s hand in the pot til it started boiling, at which point she screamed and threw the pot at my face. I used to model for Prada and Gucci sunglasses, and scientists used to pay to study my face because it was so perfectly symmetrical. No thanks to you, I’m now disfigured by third-degree burns and out of work. While I definitely considered suing you, I’m not going to do it because you’re a beautiful person and a wonderfully charming chef.
I’m now even more thankful that a Mexican grocery store opened in my town. Now I don’t have to drive at least an hour away to get these ingredients. I’m about to be my little brother’s favorite person (Champurrado is his favorite)
In Brazil we call that hard sugar cane RAPADURA. Rapa= slab and Dura = Hard. I am going to save and try to make your recipe. I bet it does taste just as it looks good from watching this video.
2C Water
2C milk
1 cinnamon stick
6 cloves
2oz Mexican chocolate
4oz pilloncillo
Pinch of salt
1/2C masa harina (toasted on pam until nutty)
3/4C water for masa
The smell of burnt cinnamon soothes me, idk why, but I used to wake up early and put a stick on my gas stove 😅 Now I use a lighter, idk why I love smoke cleansing with cinnamon, but I love it!
i dont think my grandma would appreciate being turning into hot chocolate..
I want one now ):

Now, I know exactly why: I forgot to add my grandmother!
