Every air mattress I’ve had ends up deflating slowly while sleeping on it.

I camp but not a lot but I don’t understand why why coming and going people don’t remember this rule: Pack it in – Pack it out. This is very important as well as equipment.

Hi Chris I’m going solo camping/first time camping in a few weeks in the Sierra Nevadas. It’s a proper campsite but I’m nervous about black bears in the area. I was planning on snacking in my tent, making s’mores, etc. How would one go about storing food and tent snacking?

Depending on your back a air mattress is not for everyone I have a spastic nerve in my back and I have to have a more firm place to sleep without waking up with back pain. So a cot will work better for me but that’s also a higher cost etc

I’m an absolute beginner and haven’t been any camping yet. Yours is the first channel which is source of comprehensive camping knowledge. Rarely anyone covers even how to book a campsite which can be a mystery to a beginner like me. Thank you very much!

I highly recommend if possible always use a air pump if you can. Blowing up that blue sleeping pad by mouth will cause condensation and eventually turn your inside gross and moldy quick.

Loved this. I remember the good old days when I had the basics. It’s amazing how much gear one accumulates over the years.

Our family of 6 is headed to Smoky Mountains in Tennessee in a few days. I haven’t tent camped since Boy Scout days (over 30 years ago) and I’m honestly a little nervous m😅 Thanks for the tips and advice! Subscribed! 👍🏻
