Wondering if you or anyone you know has tried growing sprouts on trail? A couple of online dehydrated meal companies I have looked at advertise seeds and pouches to hang on your pack. Seems like an interesting prospect for some fresh food on trail.

I really like all your info you give in your videos. I have been hiking for the last 5 years. Mostly section hikes of the PCT and all the local SoCal peaks. Anyways, I’m doing the entire PCT starting the last week of March 2019. I’m trying to get this posting to YouTube down. I just uploaded my past 2018 High Sierra Trail videos to YouTube over the last day and they are not clear after posting. Is there a secret to posting clear on YouTube from a Samsung Galaxy 9 or any other phone? There supposed to be as clear as my phone videos. Anyways, I’m wanting to Vlog my entire 2018 PCT hike. Any help would be much appreciated as I will be starting PCT hike soon and I want my videos to be clear and not fuzzy. Help me please if you can! Check out my new HST 2018 videos at Otis Hikes! Thanks for any help that you could give me. See you on the PCT in March 2019. My PCT intro video to be posted in the next day or so. Please subscribe to Otis Hikes! Can’t wait to meet PCT class of 2019. Please subscrie. Thanks and take care

Good tips on lunch ideas. I love bringing wraps on the trail and mixing it up.

People may forget that during winter camping (temps below 40 at night) you can take any refrigerated food you want. If it warms up during the day just surround your food bag with insulated gear (quilts and extra layers). If it’s below freezing you can even take frozen food. I’ve successfully cooked a single serving frozen pizza on a wood fire in my cook pot! This one:'s-french-bread-pizza-pepperoni-11.25-oz
