This is great, I really don’t know where to begin with trying to camp. But I think I will just try in my car with a few basic things first like a good mat and regular bedding, some take out and a thermos with hot water.

Do you have a disaster kit vidio? I’m a volunteer responder, and was just wanted to know.

Outstanding videos! Miranda- I do believe I’m falling for you! If only I was 30 years younger…then I guess you wouldn’t be alive yet, so it really doesn’t matter. Oh well. Seriously, I’m pretty experienced with camping and hiking, but I’ve gotten some great advice from the staff at my local store, and a lot of my gear, too. Never had an issue with anything from REI. I have an REI 2.5 sleeping pad, which is great for winter camping. Self-inflates almost to the max, and a pretty high R factor, too. Keep up the great vids!

I like how you dont push brands. Also, a bear proof canister might be helpful.

Forgot to mention a weapon. If you are camping, you better be carrying.

  28. RedWhite&Blue 78 on September 16, 2019 at 8:31 pm

Camping with everything you need is important when camping with wife and kids…

  29. byfuzzerabbit on September 16, 2019 at 8:33 pm

I keep 2 boxes. One has everything i need for backpacking and then the camping box which keeps the luxury items and fun things i want. I bring both boxes when i go camping. then i got a bag of various cook wear I’ve picked up over the years because i love cooking. Maybe I’ll get a portable stove one day.

Good video, for car camping I like to bring a lit door mat and a small dustpan and sweeper to clean the tent.

  34. Jeff Richards on September 16, 2019 at 8:39 pm

Good video, I usually bring too much stuff when I’m car camping. Nice basic gear requirements. Thanks for the video.
