Those were some good items, and ones that aren’t on every single video like this;) Your cast iron looks thirsty. After my cast iron is dry, I spray a little oil in them and rub it in well with a paper towel. I cook on heirloom cast iron, some of which are over 100 years old. Your cast iron is in rough shape, but that’s the thing about cast iron, it’s always fixable. To give yours a good drink, you may want to take them into the house, clean them, oil them (ANY food safe oil works, from Criso to olive oil) and put them in a warm oven, maybe 275. I leave them in for about 15m., then turn the oven off and leave them until they are cool.

That pan is heavy and fat wood is free to find and you can use parachord to move your wood
The scrub brush you used caught my eye. I usually use nylon scrub pads, but they loose their capability fairly quickly. Who makes the one you use, and from where?

Just ordered the 10# box of fatwood, to simplify starting Solo Stove fires. Any I never see fatwood in the forest, or the desert, unlike some lucky folks.

a DIY trick for a firewood carrier thats a heck of alot cheaper is to go to a store like dollar tree buy a heavy duty reusable shopping bag for 1.25 and cut iit down the sides you get the exact same things for a heck of alot cheaper.
