Those same $6 storage boxes you showed are also great for storing your battery for a fish finder. That’s where I keep mine and it’s in my milk crate behind my seat.

Headlamps you gotta go with a rechargable one and take a power bank with you. Petzl and Black diamond are great brands.

The Walmarts in Canada have none of these things. Basic stuff at Walmarts in America you canโ€™t get in Canada. Walmart in Canada is actually pathetic. They carry virtually nothing but clothes and groceries. Walmart in Canada is actually embarrassing. I canโ€™t get any of these basics at Walmart in canada. They barely carry any of their own branded outdoor gear. I hate Walmart canada, Canadian tire is our store for almost everything with this stuff. Liking the vids Iโ€™ve been watching, have fun fishing

Retractable clothes line works great. Remove the old line, and replace with paracord wonderful retractable anchor.

OK. Great informative videossss. I just went from one to another as I am thinking about buying a kayak again. Havenโ€™t had one for forty years but loved it then. Did some crazy shit back then, surfing, rapids and all that but just want to enjoy the quiet and do some fishing now. Great tips and reminders. Thanks so much. Now to find a kayak that suits my wants and needs.

    Dog leashes rust terribly

  30. @CottontailHomestead on April 25, 2025 at 2:50 am

That MOLLE (pronounced Molly) backpack needs to have an IFAK. You can weave it right into the webbing on the front.

    a pdf? what’s a pdf?

  32. @wildmanreed on April 25, 2025 at 2:54 am

Walmart has a fishing vest from body glove. Like Nrs chinooks just cheaper

  33. @kevinarmstrong7469 on April 25, 2025 at 2:54 am

I know others have mentioned this but the retractable dog leash is an awesome idea I haven’t seen before.

  34. @jameslaw3740 on April 25, 2025 at 2:54 am

Boater storage boxes should be in every boat. I have my motor repair kit, fire extinguisher, whistles, flares, downrigging supplies, fuses, tape, screwdrivers, towel and more

  35. @NicolasValentinScotland on April 25, 2025 at 2:56 am

Carrying far too much on your kayak . Just buy a boat . Sorted ๐Ÿ˜‚

  36. @tjtewshews5531 on April 25, 2025 at 2:57 am

This isn’t a walmart hack ( unless walmart carries it) but Niteize has a cell phone tether card with a tiny key ring attached that you put under your phone inside your phone case and out of the charging port hole. Then you clip the bungee that comes with it onto the inside of your pfd pocket ( if you have one) and the other end to the ring. No more phone holder tethers that you can’t even see your screen through. I just leave it in my phone case at all times. Have had it for almost 2 years now. I can’t believe I haven’t seen anyone in the kayak world talking about it.

  37. @GitNthTRUCK on April 25, 2025 at 2:58 am

That walmart carries significantly more stuff than mine does lol

  38. @K.doug369 on April 25, 2025 at 2:59 am

Whos that crazy fishing guy in isle 4 talking to himself ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…

  39. @tjtewshews5531 on April 25, 2025 at 3:01 am

Behind the seat backpack! Can’t believe I missed that. I think my behind the seat cooler might be too big for it though. I bought a little pack that sits above the cooler but not much space in it and not very secure closing.

  40. @moderngod1 on April 25, 2025 at 3:02 am

Wow straight to the point no music long bs intro just legit info. Nice. Liked it n shared it.

  41. @descalf on April 25, 2025 at 3:07 am

    $20 Mole bag???

  42. @nicholi1120 on April 25, 2025 at 3:08 am

I’ve actually found stuff in the Camping area too. Look for ‘Rain Pants’ to protect your legs from getting wet during cold weather, ‘Hydration Bags’ are another good one that are usually cheap and camping hammock’s (with mosquito netting or noseem netting). Look for camping and hiking gear that will double for kayaking gear.

  43. @tjtewshews5531 on April 25, 2025 at 3:10 am

How’d you miss the retractable clothing line for anchoring?

  44. @exvan3571 on April 25, 2025 at 3:10 am

    Any 304 spray? ๐Ÿ˜€
    Great vid!

  45. @Srus256 on April 25, 2025 at 3:12 am

About a have a year ago I bought a cheap back pack off of walmart for my fishing gear and it has worked great ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

  46. @robertbutcher4201 on April 25, 2025 at 3:13 am

    Kayak mods are endless….

  47. @tjtewshews5531 on April 25, 2025 at 3:13 am

Ahhhhh the bungee mesh will be great to keep my pool noodle pvc jugs nice and tight to save space. Im using milwaukee packout stuff as a kayak crate and have their crate locked on top of their toolbox. It’s expensive but they have a pretty cool setup that can be used for tackleboxes and gear. fits great in the back of the old town pdl 120. They even have cooler and first aid boxes. Everything locked into each other as well as being water resistant.

  48. @enthoo7902 on April 25, 2025 at 3:14 am

Dog leash works well for the first couple trips, then the salt starts to corrode the hell out of the cheap internals. Horrible idea.

  49. @garysmith7832 on April 25, 2025 at 3:14 am

How much weight can a dog leash pick up

  50. @josephjohnson1294 on April 25, 2025 at 3:17 am

Never been in a Walmart with everything in this video.
I need to go to Ohio because California Walmarts don’t have anything.
