CBO: Medicaid Spending on Illegal Aliens Has Cost Taxpayers over $16.2 Billion Under Open Border Czar Harris
WASHINGTON, D.C. – This week, the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office (CBO) released its analysis of the cost to taxpayers of Vice President Kamala Harris’ open border agenda on the Medicaid program. CBO estimates that the Biden-Harris Administration’s open border agenda cost federal and state taxpayers more than $16.2 billion to provide Medicaid-funded emergency services to illegal aliens since taking office. This is a staggering increase of 124% compared to the same period under the Trump Administration.

Oklahoma School Superintendent Demands $475 Million from Vice President Harris for Costs of Mass Immigration
    FAIR Take | November 2024

Last week, the Oklahoma schools superintendent Ryan Walters sent a letter to Kamala Harris demanding that the federal government reimburse the state for the cost that illegal immigration imposes on the school system. In his letter, he said the state has incurred a cost of at least $474.9 million, and says it’s the largest unfunded mandate in the country.

The amount requested by Walters is a result of an analysis done after Oklahoma’s agencies began tracking spending due to mass migration, starting in August. Walters said they looked at the cost to educate every single child and the resources needed for English as a Second Language. He said the amount was a best estimate because only the Biden-Harris administration knows the true number of illegal aliens crossing our borders.

“Kamala Harris doesn’t want you to know how many illegal immigrants are in our state. So, what we did is we went to districts and found students that do not speak English, come from another country during the school year and began to crunch those numbers to account for those who do not show residence in the country as the illegal immigrants that have moved over. And so, that is our best estimate is 474 million,” Walters said.

As Walters’ letter details, in addition to the thousands of students being added to the classrooms as a result of illegal immigration, the cost of teaching children who do not speak English is daunting. In 2022, approximately 10 percent of K-12 students nationwide were designated as Limited English Proficiency (“LEP”). Over 414,000 teachers nationwide were certified to teach LEP students, but another 100,000 teachers are serving as LEP instructors, despite lacking the proper certification. The U.S. Department of Education estimates that another 100,000 additional LEP teachers will be needed within the next five years.

In his letter to Harris, the superintendent said her “failed oversight and efforts are a direct cause of the current crises Oklahoma and other states now face. Oklahoma taxpayers, schools, teachers, and parents should not bear the burden of your failings. They deserve better,” he said.

Walters went on to say that “Open borders has had an impact on every aspect of society, but it has overrun our schools, decimated our families. And it is absolutely time to hold them accountable for that.”

In September of 2022, FAIR studied the cost of mass immigration and the challenges it poses on public education. At that time, using data from 2020, we estimated that it costs public schools just over $78 billion to serve the increasing population. The report also found that the struggle to fund programs for students with limited English proficiency represents a major drain on school budgets as they redirect resources away from American citizens to support English learner programs for this cohort.

Boston Mayor Spent $650,000 on Lawyers to Help Spin Sanctuary Policies
    March 12, 2025
    FAIR US org
“Preparation is the key to success” is wise advice, as is the horribly alliterative “proper preparation prevents poor performance” — the latter is usually recited by eager-beaver managers and fiery drill sergeants. In anticipation of her recent testimony at the U.S. House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, Boston Mayor Michelle Wu took those adages to heart. Unfortunately, she went widely overboard with her preparation and it cost taxpayers plenty.

Mayor Wu must have suffered jittery nerves – and who wouldn’t if faced with the monumental challenge of trying to rationalize dangerous and costly sanctuary policies while under oath and penalty of perjury. Nonetheless, her preparations got way out of hand. According to Boston 25 News, Wu hired the high-powered New York law firm of Cahill Gordon & Reindel to help her prepare for the March 5 hearing, investigate the committee, and produce related documents… at $950 per hour. The prep sessions included not only staff from the Mayor’s Office, but local law enforcement and other senior advisors. In a statement provided to the news outlet, Mayor Wu’s office “expects a (final) bill of $650,000.”

Wu’s legal team expended 684 hours getting her and her associates ready for the congressional grilling, the equivalent of 17.1 work weeks, roughly the time a diligent piano player can advance from basic scales to performing Mozart’s Minuet in F competently.

‘THE BEST BIDEN EVER.’ On his MSNBC program Wednesday, former Republican Rep. Joe Scarborough launched an impassioned and aggressive defense of President Joe Biden — specifically, of Biden’s mental fitness to serve a second term as president. Scarborough’s performance was an attempt to show that the best defense is a good offense: In Scarborough’s view, the 81-year-old Biden is not only not declining cognitively, but he’s absolutely the best he’s ever been. And to majorities of voters, both Democrats and Republicans, who believe the president is not up to a second term, Scarborough had a simple message: “F*** you.”

Scarborough said he had “spent a couple of hours with Joe Biden, sitting, talking, going around the world as far as talking issues, talking the economy, talking inflation, talking.” After those discussions, Scarborough came to believe that Biden “might misplace a word here or there” but is in fact really sharp. “I undersold him when I said he was cogent,” Scarborough said. “He’s far beyond cogent. In fact, he’s better than he’s ever been intellectually, analytically. Because he’s been around for 50 years.”

The Elephant in the Classroom: Mass Immigration Imposing Colossal Cost and Challenges on Public Education

    A FAIR Research Report

    September 2022

    Summary of Findings
Public school districts across the United States continue to suffer under a massive unfunded mandate imposed by the federal government: the requirement to educate millions of illegal aliens, the school-age children of illegal aliens, and unassimilated/unvetted refugees, all at taxpayer expense. Further adding to this burden are millions of students from legal immigrant families admitted into this country despite being unable to fluently speak English. FAIR estimates that it currently costs public schools just over $78 billion to serve this burgeoning population based on data from 2020. The struggle to fund programs for students with limited English proficiency (LEP) represents a major drain on school budgets as they redirect resources away from American citizens to support English learner programs for this cohort.

Currently, 5.1 million students – or more than 10 percent of all students in American public schools — are designated as LEP. Despite this, only 370,000 of teachers hold the proper certifications to adequately educate them, according to the U.S. Department of Education. It is estimated that at least 76,000 additional teachers are needed to properly educate this cohort over the next 5 years. Currently, more than 100,000 instructors are acting as LEP teachers despite lacking the proper certification.1

The lack of necessary teachers and infrastructure to educate this population has hindered the performance of LEP and non-LEP students alike and has severely stunted the ability of the children of new immigrants to assimilate into American culture. As a result, the children and grandchildren of immigrants in America today are finding far less educational and economic success than they did in the past.2

Since the most recent cumulative data on this subject comes from 2020, it’s important to keep in mind that, unless otherwise noted, the figures detailed within this report do not take into account the massive surge of legal and illegal immigration into the United States since President Biden took office.

  49. @inthecompanyofnone3597 on March 22, 2025 at 1:57 am

I know longer trust the federal government under 47. What he’s doing to the US and immigrants are horrendous. I wonder how many white male pilots with her same credentials would be blamed if it happened to them now? The Asst coach if guilty needs psychological help and prison. So much to take in…

Since 10✈️a week seem to catch fire 🔥, blow up, melt, gps lost, no landing gear, crash etc maybe be need to travel buy horse carriage🐴🐎🏇🚃 like our Founding Fathers (George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, John Jay, James Madison) did!

donald🦆 is violating the American Constitution 🇺🇲 to provide equality, welfare etc. If our government (president, Congress, governor, military, oval office, sheriff, Police department) cant and didn’t provide protection for innocent children in school (Sandy Hook & Uvalde) who are massacred for more than an hour buy ONE teenager with a military what makes you think they’re going to protect our children in school without the Department of Education and the general welfare of the American people (our children in school)?
