This is a strange idea but for a snack, buy a pizza lunchable, repackage it and replace the cheese with babybell swiss cheese which is shelf safe, good idea for kids

Just came across this video like 5min ago 😂😂
This probably won’t happen but can you please do a budget backpacking setup for somewhat broke student? I’d appreciate it very much and very body that watches I would hope 🙏🙏

I’m happy that you’re posting again. But the videos that preceded these new ones seemed more professionally done. Are these new vlog-style videos going to be the new format on the channel? What can old time subscribers expect from the direction this channel is takin? 🙂

Cool. Learned a few things on layering the backpack. I will be on a three day trip in the Belgian Ardennes near Bouillon, starting this saturday. Safe travels!…..

    Coconut electrolytes drinks.

PROPERLY CHECK OUT ALL NEW PEANUT BUTTER PRODUCTS. Some new product "nut butters" are made with soybean or tofu (textured vegetable protein – say SOYBEANS), and these have been recalled for toxic bacteria sickness. Tofu-products highly easy to get contaminated – even in vakpaking – been there, gotten sick …) Not a refrigeration issue – it is bacteria and soybeans/tofu/TVP processing and getting germ-infected that develops later in the package … and whether the employees are truly sterile and clean workers as well – just like foreign workers in meat processing plants and slaughter houses, and foreign-grown unclean vegetable produce.

They are adding in soybean meal, and soy oil into almost all foods now. This is toxic to pets (and some allergic people – like peanut allergies etc) … and part of all the new pet food ingredients that is causing the mental/emotional/neurological organ failures and tics of the pets … they can’t digest the soy, and it becomes toxic to the nervous system … chewing and licking on the feet etc. All neurological damage. Most peanut butter (Target was shocked) is now peanut butter SPREAD. Only Laura Scudders (vastly smaller jar/bottles now – and the true original peanut makers in smaller jars remain pure and true.

Western white caucasians should be wary of high (asian and asian-introduced) soy product ingredients, and whether they have toxic and allergic reactions to such products.

Funny a lot of backpacking staples like Starkist Tuna and packet foil chicken are near impossible to find in Canada.

  12. Rocky MD on September 16, 2019 at 7:00 pm

Aidells sausage doesnt spoil? I buy them all the time and they’re refrigerated in the market, so I never thought to pack them. We can’t do nuts since my son has an allergy, and Im always looking for other protein options (we typically do tuna/salmon packets, jerky/pepperoni). Any other suggestions?

I wish i was that quick. takes me a week to prep

Awesome video! The Darn Good Chili says to add water and tomato paste. Do you do without the tomato paste or do you substitute for something else?

I do kayak camping and want to venture into backpacking. Great information. Thanks for sharing.

Nice to see you doing some more vids. I must compliment you on your pack, I have the same one but unfortunately didn’t get to use it on my section hike up the AT this past spring bc my 14 year old son begged to use it for the trip and I gave in and used my old Army pack instead. The things we give up for our kids, never thought it would be my favorite pack 🙂

  17. BlueAngle on September 16, 2019 at 7:08 pm

hey, it would be handy if you had links on the description of the gear that you are speaking… just an idea 😉

Just found your channel. thank you for the food ideas. I’ve been putting together my pack for 8 months now not the lightest but inexpensive and durable. Buy once. I’m on to the food aspect now. I hope soon to get a total pack weight for a two night.

  19. Kerry Neighbour on September 16, 2019 at 7:15 pm

Never heard of any of that food. Seems to be specific to the USA and perhaps just your area. Meant nothing to me.

  20. Aaron Huneycutt on September 16, 2019 at 7:17 pm

hey great product placement! only…I’m only looking into my first 3 day hike. looking for more than I got this, and this, and this; thing about a how to video is you might want to actually show how to! not just find sponsors asshole.

  21. Paul B on September 16, 2019 at 7:18 pm

what camera are you using? cool vid

  22. Michael Blanton on September 16, 2019 at 7:18 pm

Hey Eric. I had a question about your choice of protein. The adelis precooked sausages say that they need to be kept refrigerated. How long do they last? I’m nervous about packing these in my bag and getting sick in the back country.

Thanks for your channel I’ve enjoyed it and have learned a lot!

  23. Wayne Emery on September 16, 2019 at 7:19 pm

I just discovered your channel today and have watched almost all your videos, i love the work you do, pls dont stop

  24. Mel Mel on September 16, 2019 at 7:20 pm

Did you say how big your pack was? 70 liters?

  25. Rob R on September 16, 2019 at 7:20 pm

Great food ideas! Thanks! I bought a couple droms for my son and I last year. We used then on a 1 night test run for backpacking this spring. They held a good amount of water and we’re very tough. Problem is… The water tasted HORRIBLE! I could not drink it without retching. I read they changed their design a while back. Sadly it is a common complaint.
