Day in the Life: Trail Maintenance

This clip is from the video vault in my Keep the Blaze Alive Coaching Squad (aka “The Squad”). The Squad has three levels of membership, and we meet weekly online with a 2-hour livestream where I answer questions and tell stories, and the Tier 1 members get two monthly two-hour Zoom calls where we talk face-to-face. I also host two 3-day events per year for my Tier 1 members. Learn more about The Squad at https://patreon.com/coachingsquad

  7. @joelpierce3940 on March 7, 2025 at 12:02 am

Do you still go out to Camp McCall during selection? Are you one of the silent heroes dropping food for the starving hopefuls?

  8. @bhief473 on March 7, 2025 at 12:02 am

No bees for pat if he lives by a golf course. That’s a chemical dump bro 😔

  19. @andrewcappiello5585 on March 7, 2025 at 12:15 am

You really need to buy that land. Either personally or your business ( the business could give you a place to hold land nav and first aid classes). I’d hate to see someone who won’t be a good neighbor buy it……

  20. @82lowe36id on March 7, 2025 at 12:17 am

If more people to the intiative like this, our communities would be better off. I learned this mentallity thanks to my time in the Infantry. When I got out and started work as a civilian, I was the only one doing this. It actually pissed some guys off because they took it as I was making them look bad.

  21. @2centsam927 on March 7, 2025 at 12:17 am

I live on an abandoned par 3, 9 hole myself. Good exercise. Many houses along the course……. I always feel like someone is going to yell at me for the effort?

  27. @bigdaddyburchy on March 7, 2025 at 12:24 am

Little work goes a long way brother! It’s like eating an elephant, get the job done one bite at a time. Lol

  30. @NiMi93 on March 7, 2025 at 12:30 am

Do you build more structurally sound brush piles using thicker branches?
It’s a great workout, making nature a log cabin free from aerial predators.

  31. @Rchevyman7 on March 7, 2025 at 12:31 am

Good to see you taking care of God’s beautiful creation! Even before man sinned, God had Adam taking care of the garden. It’s good work. Keep it up!

  32. @blowndee4911 on March 7, 2025 at 12:36 am

I appreciate this! My first job was working at a country club; it was the best job I ever had.

  33. @You-were-seen-kid on March 7, 2025 at 12:36 am

Pat man, your videos are nothing less than inspiring to me, in every video the end goal just seems to be, be better!

  35. @DV77737 on March 7, 2025 at 12:37 am

And u can always apply for a job with park maintenance

  36. @S.S.H.OCT.18-08 on March 7, 2025 at 12:39 am

I do the same thing around our home area here in Alabama. I mow the area behind our home, the neighbors yard, and the empty lot next to them.
    Area Beautification.
Because I want our place to look nice and it takes very little time or effort. I take pride in it looking good and it sets a good example for those in my life.
My daughter says why are people so lazy they can’t clean up their nasty yards 🤣🤣🤣, it ain’t hard and it doesn’t cost anything to do it.
I am proud that she gets it that just because you may not have a ton of money, you can still keep a clean yard and area.
Set and be the standard is my philosophy.

  37. @BT1776 on March 7, 2025 at 12:40 am

This path should officially be given a name, The PatMac Trail.

  38. @velocity8154 on March 7, 2025 at 12:40 am

  40. @SnakeBitBob1982 on March 7, 2025 at 12:43 am

Since I got my raw land I have quit the gym. Cutting and clearing trails, cutting and removing trees, shoveling sand/dirt and climbing up and down canyons is an old school full body workout. I am with you brother.

  41. @romeofoxtrot363 on March 7, 2025 at 12:45 am

Square shovel; must have. Got a killer push broom from Uline. Super stiff. Great for outdoor stuff. Rock on!

  45. @johnnylinfield3809 on March 7, 2025 at 12:49 am

  46. @mattschmitt9924 on March 7, 2025 at 12:51 am

Wow Pat Mac. You really seem to be on the ‘right path’ in life. – Sorry my kids aren’t up yet and a dad joke needed to come out.

  47. @6Barbarian6 on March 7, 2025 at 12:52 am

Do a vid on the golf cart, I’m thinking I want one to get around in. Beer runs, camping, use at lake, racing and taking dog for ride.

  48. @Fragniac on March 7, 2025 at 12:52 am

That episode should be titled Real Man Shit

  49. @longgone9869 on March 7, 2025 at 12:52 am

    Good on you Pat!

  50. @chrisconversino6294 on March 7, 2025 at 12:53 am

A suggestion for you. Stack the discarded branches into piles. This creates habitat for small mammals and ground nesting birds.
