I’ve seen that mistake a couple times in high school. There was an old lake house by these old abandoned mines and we would go up there and explore the mines (they weren’t all that big) go swim at the lake, make food at the house and have parties with a couple friends. Then my one friend decided to tell the heads in the grade under us about it and they proceeded to destroy the house, spraying painted the caves and made it so the local authorities watched the place and was trespassing everyone who went there. If you at all value your abandoned sanctuary, don’t tell people about it. So anyway, where is this at?

It’s horrible when you find a good place to explore and you see bottles graffiti’s and a lot of shit on the place that makes awful the experience.
Mostly on liminal-looking places where you need the place to be “clean” for the photo itself
Yeah my friends gave put an abandoned military base location now they are in jail I might Ned 1200 more dollars to bail them out….never give out locations.
Straight up facts as a fellow urbex explorer.
For those who don’t know why you shouldn’t give out locations:
It’s because some people go to these places and do graffiti and destroy the place and vandalize it. Exploring an abandoned place with graffiti and other stuff that pisses an urbex explorer off, it doesn’t make exploring the place fun after a while or once you walk in and see the graffiti.
Sometimes graffiti can warn explorers for dead air or amything like that, thats the only time we accept it but other than that it pisses us urban explorers off.

On one end i usually knock on you guys because theres not really a reason to do what you’re doing other than "documenting history maaaaaan" but at the very least you boys aint destructive.

How do you find abandoned places? I’ve always wanted to explore one not to vandalize but to explore new things.
I want to go Urban Exploring, but how do I find my own locations then? There must be some trusted communities for this kind of thing
