I bought a ruger american ranch chambered in 300 blk out just for bad weather days. Other than that im taking my cz 550 american in 270 win or my bergara carbon wilderness in 300 win mag which i only use for elk and proghorn

I’m taking my bow because I don’t gun hunt
I’d hate to think weather affected what I hunt with.
Terrain effects what I hunt with. .44 magnum for brush I have a singleshot and it works well for the left handed daughter as well.
For woods I like my ruger in .350 legend.
Woods and big fields break put the Weatherby 25-06. Or stand or blind should help determine what you are shooting.
My wife prefers a browning .243 or a remington .270

Have wanted one of Ruger’s GunSite Scouts, since I saw the images of it from S.H.O.T. Show. Finally got one earlier this year. Took a doe and a buck opening morning. Used the Norma Bonded 150gr load. Both only made it 35-45 yards
