How to get kids to love gardening | 10 fun activities we did over the weekend! ☀️☀️☀️

#gardening #kids #fun

This time, my mom and cute little garden helper will demonstrate 10 different gardening activities, that children can help you with in the garden and that comply with 4 primary requirements from the kids’ perspective: easy & fun, impactful, executable, and does not last forever (or, vary them often) !! 😉

Here`s the recommended wording for getting the kids interested (vs the task you want to do):
00:47 Activity 1 – Digging holes and planting stuff (midnight planting)
01:16 Activity 2 – Riding a garden tractor (clean up the gardening mess from last night)
02:00 Activity 3 – Making a bonfire (make a fire)
02:35 Activity 4 – Dig out some plants (transplanting plants)
03:06 Activity 5 – Watering anything (water the plants)
03:57 Bonus Activity (for advanced little gardeners): Finishing everything no matter what!!
04:16 Activity 6 – Cutting edges/fertilizing (cutting edges/fertilizing)
04:55 Activity 7 – Pick berries for the pancake jam (pick berries)
05:14 Activity 8 – Rolling stones (move stones to a new location)
05:44 Activity 9 – Raking (Raking)
06:28 Activity 10 – Sow a (flower) grass seed and roll it in (sow a flower grass and roll it in)
07:36 Bonus Activity: Do a happy dance/point out the results every time and give some praise!! 😀

Ahh, and where is the deweeding activity, you ask??
Well, it lacks the fun factor, so it does not qualify… 😀

07:51 Blueberry forest and beach fun! 🙂

Let me know what your kids love to do in the garden and what they throw tantrums at! 😀
Also – is there anything you absolutely love doing, that they hate?? 😉

Wishing everyone happy gardening and see you next time! 🙂
