We have made it to our 50th and 51st National Parks: Sequoia and Kings Canyon! And although they are two separate parks, they are right next to each other and managed together, making them perfect to explore in one trip. So we spent two days trying to see as much as we could!
π₯ We obtained a commercial filming permit from the NPS to film this video. And all drone footage was shot legally outside of the National Park.

Great content
Itβs a shame such a beautiful state has to be ruined by bad politics.
Thank you for this video. My husband and I and our son used to go to Sequioa and Kings Canyon every year. Now our son is grown and married, and my husband had a stroke a couple of years ago, but this brings back lots of memories. One year, when my husband was fishing in that river in Kings Canyon, he lost a silver pipe that I gave him one Christmas.
Did you know that at one time, Disney wanted to make Kings Canyon into a ski resort. I’m so glad that the plan failed because that place is too beautiful to get commercialized!π
Hey guys great video Iβm hoping to visit next year . Just a question regarding wild life any issues there . Kind regards
I grew up in Grant’s Grove KCNP. It truly is the most beautiful place I have ever been
Two places on my bucket list to visit.
Did you happen to mention where you camped in the park? We arriving early May 2025, a lot of the campgrounds will still be closed, I think…
video quality is superb
Years back I wanted to go to sequoia national park but we had a little time left so we decided weβd go later but we didnβt have any chance to do. Thank you for your video I really appreciate and enjoy it. Thank you!!π

The moon rising shot was amazing π²
We we’re there un the beginning of September 2024, Drove to the end of Kings Canyon Roadπ
It was very hot but the roaring waterfall was great and the River, too.
The Sequoias remind blowing. I have been privileged to see a Giant Sequoia in the UK. There are two on the Balmoral Estate in Scotland. The trees made it to the UK because an Englishman in San Francisco heard about the giant trees and obtained seeds and seedlings and shipped them to his father in Scotland, who then began planting them. The Giant Sequoias thrive in Scotland, there are about 500,000 there.
I visited Sequoia NP when I was about 10 years old, and I have only faint memories of the visit. So this video really took me back, and made me want to go back soon!!
So glad you came to visit my backyard… Living in Fresno, California, I get to visit all these areas all the time
You definitely have to come back when Kimgs Canyon is fully open and explore the true Sierra trails. π
Dear Adam and Katherine please show new episodes. Thank you.
thanks so much for the video! We are going here in the fall. Looking forward to it. Did you bring bear spray here (is it allowed?) Also any mosquitos to worry about? Thank you!!
I am struggling to choose a visit to Sequoia or the Redwoods forest?
Looks so awesome! Definitely adding these stops to my bucket list!
Congratulations on200k. Did you add the bird sounds or were they all natural? Just curious! Great video!
So many of the places you visit have been familiar to me. When I saw you were at Hume Lake I remembered back about 20 years ago when my family and I worked for a week at the Hume Lake Conference Center. Your California videos are reminding me that the state has some very beautiful places to see!

This was one of the best YouTubeβs about the parks. Thank you
Great video ! I am planning to go there on May 25 with my family ! And that is a video which really helps me to plan ! Tks guys
Sequoia and Kings Canyon look absolutely amazing! π² So cool that you managed to see so much in just two days, from General Sherman to Moro Rock and all the epic trails in between. Definitely inspired to visit and experience these beautiful parks myself someday. Thanks for sharing such a detailed and inspiring adventure! ππ
Side note from someone who was born in S Lake Tahoe and grew up in Carson City…. Kings Canyon waterfall is less than half a mile from downtown Carson City. Emerald Bay is by far the best, maybe I’m biased as we spread my Father’s ashes on the island. Heavenly Valley is the best ski resort, and definitely rent horses to ride the trails in Tahoe. I’ve heard Ponderosa Ranch is no longer open, but if it is, definitely visit. In Carson check out the museum and stop by Silver City. Unfortunately I live in Iowa now, but was one of the lucky few to grow up in such a beautiful place!
We want to trees plz help you kindly my Master thaphovan Himalaya to sambhala nagiri have
What time of year was this visit ?π
Including Canada
General Grant was the 3rd largest tree, until the Washington Tree partially collapsed (formally the 2nd largest @47,930 cubic feet). π
Love your video… I’m wondering where do you leave your dog while on trails? I’ve had to hold back sue to my dog, any advice would be great.
Nice Work & Video π
The United States of America the greatest country in the world
What time of year is best to go there? Before it gets too hot. Is May a good time?
You had amazing footage, my favorite is your Betty’s Pies and footage of the Great Lake Superior, which the shoreline at first glance would compare to perhaps Maine or Washington State. The difference, is 100% fresh water and most importantly a major port for shipping from the Atlantic through the chain of lakes. The majestic shoreline of the Great lakes equals or exceeds the entirety of the West and East Coast. Or is is total shoreline of lakes in MN combined. Either way. MN is not and never should be considered fly over. Actually yes, drive here. Minnesota is exceptional for tails, Parks, fishing, camping. Year round of you live over fishing, snowmobiling, hunting, campfire, beer etc. Hope you do a winter trip.
Weβre going next month; two days in each park! π
Loved the Bird sounds in this video! πβ€
I subscribe.
What time of the day you guys were there, seems like no one was there.
Was just wondering where your dog is when you go for hikes. Is he left in your van?
I still have fond memories as a 5-6 year old visiting sequoia national park and driving through the tunnel tree. That was 40 years ago π thnx guys for the flashback to a better time, I think Iβll take the drive out there soon
Great video!!! I am actually planning on going in June. Any tips or information you can share would be so appreciated.

Just found your video. You guys are great! My wife and I went to Oahu the life guard came and got me on a jet ski there wee dolphins jumping about fifty yards ahead of me. The lifeguard reminded me that where there were dolphins there were sharks.I didnβt realize how far out I was the people in the beach looked like small specs. We are going back soon now that weβre both retired. Would love to visit some of the places you guys went too. Especially were there was food involved.
20:18 … " who needs fries milkshakes and burgers " … I DO but also that salami and pears on that board you made looked great! not sure what dip that was but still also looked great
Wow what time of the year did you go to have the park so empty?
