🏕️ Unlock the Secrets of Tent Camping: 6 Insider Tips | Campsite Classes

Are you planning a tent camping trip but feeling overwhelmed by all the preparation and unknowns? Look no further. In this video, we’ll share 6 insider tips to help you unlock the secrets of tent camping. These tips are based on years of experience and will help you make the most of your outdoor adventure. So grab your tent and let’s get started:

1. Find a flat area, free of tripping hazards or sharp objects to set up your tent: When choosing a spot to set up your tent, make sure the ground is flat and free of any sharp objects or tripping hazards. This will ensure that your tent is stable and safe to sleep in.

2. Pack a small hammer to make installing tent stakes easier: Tent stakes are essential for keeping your tent in place, but they can be difficult to install without the right tools. Pack a small hammer or mallet to make the process easier and faster.

3. Keep the inside organized for maximum space and comfort: A cluttered tent can make it difficult to move around and can also be uncomfortable to sleep in. Keep your gear organized and stored in designated areas to maximize space and comfort. Use storage pockets or hanging organizers to keep your gear off the ground and within easy reach.

4. Hang gear for easy access at night: Hanging your gear from the ceiling of your tent can be a great way to keep it organized and within easy reach at night. Use carabiners or hooks to hang your backpack, clothes, and other gear from the tent’s ceiling. This will also help keep your gear off the ground and away from any moisture or dirt.

5. Use a plastic woven outdoor rug to keep the inside clean: A plastic woven outdoor rug can be a great addition to your tent setup. It will help keep the inside of your tent clean and dry, and also provide a comfortable surface to walk on. You can also use the rug as a designated area for your shoes or other gear.

6. Position the door away from the campfire to avoid smoke: If you plan on having a campfire, make sure to position your tent’s door away from the fire. This will help prevent smoke from entering your tent and also reduce the risk of any sparks or embers landing on your tent.

By following these tips, you can ensure a comfortable and safe tent camping experience.

    👍🏼Nice!

    This also helps.
A rake to clear the area for the tent.
Cardboard to protect the tent bottom.
Broom and dust pan to clean tent before packing back up.
Old floor mats at the tent entrance.

Push in the tent pegs the other way so they are holding in the ground better against wind

  30. @TheFirstRealChewy on January 17, 2025 at 9:47 pm

One thing I like to do is bring a medium to heavy duty tarp that sits under the tent.

  31. @JOHNDOE2K13 on January 17, 2025 at 9:49 pm

  32. @BenzionMenashe on January 17, 2025 at 9:50 pm

    Camping? That’s glamping my guy…

  33. @tuitam_ide on January 17, 2025 at 9:52 pm

0:18 small hammer – good idea. Last time i had to use my hatchet. But this idea is great👏🔥🙌

  34. @Jason-o5s on January 17, 2025 at 9:54 pm

Cheer~~~a portable shelter made of cloth, supported by one or more poles and stretched tight by cords or loops attached to pegs driven into the ground.😊

  35. @iQamarAmerica on January 17, 2025 at 9:54 pm

My friend and I are planning to go camping for the first time, and guess what—this video came up first in the search. Thank you for sharing.

Anyone disagree with fire by the door

  37. @therevolutionwillnotbeyoutubed on January 17, 2025 at 9:55 pm

Unless you have a car nearby, I would not be carrying that hammer (or not to mention half that stuff) Too much weight. Nothing a big rock or small piece of log can’t handle.

  38. @Royalchora326 on January 17, 2025 at 9:55 pm

    ❤🎉❤🎉

  39. @Syari_FamCamp on January 17, 2025 at 9:56 pm

    Good

  40. @AllThingsNepal on January 17, 2025 at 9:56 pm

Carry a hammer is the worst advice ever. Just find a rock or stone nearby.

  41. @aberuel8823 on January 17, 2025 at 9:56 pm

    Your tips are rubbish.

  42. @Xamiakass on January 17, 2025 at 9:59 pm

hammer? in nature? don’t have feet? no stones around or logs? LOL
and the pins. if you them at that angle as he has shown, they will get pulled out if any wind around. top of the pins has to be angled AWAY from the tent.
    this guy’s copying verge’s style of how to… 😀

  43. @Skittledikk on January 17, 2025 at 10:00 pm

  49. @haven_from_me on January 17, 2025 at 10:11 pm

Like the time we didn’t put the rain fly up and then a thunderstorm hit in the middle of the night. everything was soaked. And our three kids, all under 7 at the time, were scared.

  50. @MGeckos on January 17, 2025 at 10:11 pm

    DONT BRING A HAMMER!!

I always just find a rock or large stick and use it like a hammer!
