I got a 35 L backpack, I like it; but I realize now that I need a 20 L 25 L dayback/backpack. My birthday’s coming up so maybe. I do use my 35L backpack. Even found it for only $50, anything else that was smaller was twice as much! That’s crazy!

Hey, REI:
Are you ashamed of Washington State? I’ve noticed that you never mention it in your videos (half of which are shot in Washington), nor do you mention it in your website’s "Who We Are" or "About REI" sections (although you do include a picture of New Hampshire.)
Back in the old days, I bought a lot of gear at the store on Capital Hill because it was good stuff and I like to buy local when I can. I was thinking about getting back into hiking, but this time I’ll be throwing my money in the direction of Eddie Bauer, Danner, and other companies that aren’t ashamed to be from the Pacific Northwest.
Modern day packs sux. They are over built. The suspension is over built. Why does a 30l day pack weight 3 to 4 lbs.
