2003, we built our ExpeditionVehicle for simplicity and redundancy.
Our ancient Coleman propane two-burner camp-stove is rigged for a five-gallon twenty-pounder propane bottle.
    Simple, portable, pretty much indestructible.
Use, wipe, stow back in its cubby.
    .
A galley, used a few minutes daily but occupying 24/7/360° cubic space?
    Not interested.

Why does it say that it’s not for use in a home, is there something more dangerous about this style than a standard propane stove?

  5. @Everlastandgreen on January 7, 2025 at 5:04 pm

Yes, you can unscrew them and it should not leak. Now, about the pinging noise people are talking about, idk if thats nromal or not. Im too much of a scardy cat so id throw away the bottle or something

  7. @doubled5927 on January 7, 2025 at 5:06 pm

Thanks for the video. I wanted to purchase one just because but scared of propane. I want it on hand just for bad weather days when the power goes out. I always get hungry

Perfect. I was afraid of blowing my face off – I’d never used one of these before.
    Very helpful.
    Thank you.

And my moneymaker is still intact. And my eyebrows. 👍🍻😎

It works great! Cooks everything you throw at it in a good amount of time. We went off-roading and Hiking with a bunch of friends and their own trucks and after all that, we took a nice break in between and we all grilled/cooked and shared food. This grill cooked up some yummy brats in no time, some delicious Korean BBQ ribs and chicken at night and and some much needed and savory breakfast the next morning after camping over night. This was our first time trying thjs grill out and my kids and wife loved it! Two thumbs up! 👍🏽👍🏽

    Can this be used indoors?

  15. @dominicnewnes6595 on January 7, 2025 at 5:15 pm

Having problems lighting the burner, I tried using a normal lighter. Do I need something different?

  16. @javacup912 on January 7, 2025 at 5:17 pm

Great. Researching here as I just got one of these from a friend which was heading to the dumpster.

  17. @eduardovelarde1705 on January 7, 2025 at 5:20 pm

Where can i find the regulater???

  18. @kyfisher3662 on January 7, 2025 at 5:22 pm

why do you make them so the propane is tilted?

  19. @TheDudeVT on January 7, 2025 at 5:22 pm

Just found one just like this at the local dump for free. The regulator was missing but I took one off another coleman stove and I was a able to test it and it worked fine! And it looked like it hasn’t been used much.

  20. @TheTransam85 on January 7, 2025 at 5:22 pm

Seems like the flame is on full blast I turn the knobs and it doesn’t lower. Is that normal?

  21. @ericjay6021 on January 7, 2025 at 5:22 pm

Excellent. Straight to the point in a clear and concise manner

  22. @cainedavenport1187 on January 7, 2025 at 5:26 pm

what would happen if it was full blast and then i unscrewed the propain?

  23. @josephreynolds7505 on January 7, 2025 at 5:27 pm

At first it worked well. After about 2 years, when I light it, it flares up about one ft. (I just crack the valve, barely open) Then burns down to normal. Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix it?

  24. @CampingWithCats on January 7, 2025 at 5:27 pm

Your new stove designs are a dangerous nuisance. Thanks for wasting my money and risking my life.

  25. @cimarronMC on January 7, 2025 at 5:28 pm

Had one of these when I was a kid, I remember my Dad would cook tons of stuff on it

  26. @TheRealBalloonHead on January 7, 2025 at 5:28 pm

Fantastic job, I haven’t used mine in a few years and needed a few pointers.
    Thanks!

  28. @tonyz2203 on January 7, 2025 at 5:30 pm

What propane tank do I need to use?
Can someone send me a link???

  29. @Leightr on January 7, 2025 at 5:33 pm

For cooking a steak, light the burner, then turn it down a one half a degree of rotation on the knob so you don’t burn the steak. Whoopsie, the burner went out because you turned to low, try again. Re-light it, oh, no the steak is burning again, try to turn it down with out turning it off. Remember that you only get about 1 degree of rotation to play with between full blast and off. Good luck doing anything aside from boiling water.

Sorry Coleman, your Peak1 was my backpacking mainstay through the 90s but you kept burning my steak with this one. The temperature control was so bad.

  30. @toddlong8672 on January 7, 2025 at 5:33 pm

I’ll save you guys some time, turn the knob, and light

  31. @Faevaaplayboi on January 7, 2025 at 5:34 pm

  32. @CampingWithCats on January 7, 2025 at 5:34 pm

That stove is a dangerous nuisance. Cheap garbage that doesn’t last. Please go back to your old design.

  42. @EricKorbly on January 7, 2025 at 5:49 pm

It doesn’t have an igniter in the year 2024 ah ha ha ha

  43. @chriscruse9806 on January 7, 2025 at 5:50 pm

Not sure why the stove is designed so that the Regulator moves around and scratches the inside of my stove.

  49. @kristinealbrecht2071 on January 7, 2025 at 5:57 pm

    Thank you! This was perfect.
