Our ultimate resort and hotel guide will take you inside the best hotels in Bali. We visited 30 hotels and stayed at 10 to find the 8 best; how can you make an honest recommendation if you don’t try a hotel first. We’ll share our candid and uncensored opinions so that you can see if this hotel is the right place for you.

This wellness retreat in Bali is a slice of heaven on earth. Surrounded by tropical rainforest and rolling hills, it’s the kind of place that makes you forget about the rest of the world. Ubud, a town known for its art and spirituality, is nearby, but once you step onto the estate, it’s all about peace and tranquility. And the views of the Ayung River and terraced rice fields? Breathtaking.
The Como Shambhala Estate has 30 rooms and suites that are so comfortable and luxurious, you won’t want to leave. The suites even come with private pools and outdoor showers and large communal living spaces and pools, then there are private compounds too. And if you’re worried about being cut off from the world, don’t be. They’ve got Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and entertainment systems, so you can stay connected.

But what really sets the Como Shambhala Estate apart is its commitment to wellness. The wellness center has got it all, from personalized yoga and Pilates programs to meditation sessions. You can work up a sweat at the gym, take a dip in the infinity pool, or play a game of tennis. And when it’s time to refuel, the restaurant serves up healthy, organic cuisine made with fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. Trust me, folks, this place is the real deal.

Hi, we plan on going last week of October with 2 small children. Pool time is one of our favourite activities; may I ask if pool is heated or is it still very comfortable to swim in given the rain, clouds and time of year? Thanks
