RV Types 101: A Beginner's Guide to Different Classes of RVs

In this video I explain the weird naming conventions of different types of RVs. There are basically two different categories: Motorized RVs which are also called motorhomes or motorcoaches. The other type are the towable RVs such as travel trailers, fifth wheels, and teardrops. The names are crazy, but hopefully this will point you in the right direction. Toy haulers are great but you got to check out the CARGO CARRYING CAPACITY for the garage area before loading something in it.🤔

Really helpful. We had been looking at 5th wheels, yet we wanted to look at other alternatives. Thank you so much. Now we understand all the different options.

I have to disagree about TC’s fitting *any* truck. It really depends on the camper. There are pop-up ones that can fit any 1/4-ton or larger Truck, and even some hard-sided ones that do, but if you want something like a wet bath it’s extremely hard to find ones that can fit on a 1/2-ton truck and if you want slide-outs you basically need a 1-ton truck.

What’s the difference between Truck Camper and Class C Motorhome?
They both seems to be something that were fitted to a Truck

I appreciate your explanation. I’m transitioning from house living to mobile living. I am concerned about the size of a class a limiting the places I like to go.
